The Cain campaign: the wheels are now officially off

After his disastrous editorial board meeting a few days ago in Milwaukee, Cain cancelled an editorial board meeting with the New Hampshire Union Leader, after they would not agree to demands it not be video-taped and be cut from one hour to 20 minutes.  These would be unacceptable demands for any newspaper.
For those of you not familiar with such meetings and this newspaper, a few facts:
1) The Union Leader is one of the most conservative newspapers in the country, so it should be friendly territory for Cain.  The most famous incident involving this paper and a candidate occured when, after the paper wrote something nasty about Ed Muskie's wife, he held an angry news event in front of the paper's office during which he broke down and cried.  That was the effective end of the Muskie campaign.
2) Editorial Board meetings are a standard way for candidates to present their perspective to the people who write editorials for the paper.  Every candidate does it.  Cain clearly had either not been properly prepped or was too lazy to bone up on the issues.  Going unprepared to such a meeting is unbelievably stupid.
3) Cain just shot his New Hampshire efforts in the head.  He is toast.
