The four Trump children (Ivanka will introduce her father tonight) have all shown the world just how smart, well-spoken, passionate, serious and mature they really are.

Too bad some of their maturity and sensible behavior hasn't rubbed off on the obnoxious old man.

If he were only half as impressive as his kids, he might have a fighter's chance in this election.

Oh, and by the way, Ted Cruz did Trump a huge favor last night.  He actually made Trump look sympathetic and that will get Trump much more support than he would have gotten from a forced and non-passionate endorsement

Actors with big ambitions.

Hell, Hillary has been jonesing for the Oval Office her whole life.  If she were a better actor, she would have won it eight years ago.

Trump would clearly get more votes from the Republicans who are now saying they will not vote for either candidate and from many independents who are either still undecided or are begrudgingly supporting Hillary only because they can't stand Trump.

And the sympathy for Trump is clearly out there.  Almost all of the pols and so-called political experts are in agreement that Cruz's backtracking on his pledge was the big story and not his claim of defending the honor of his wife and father.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't blame Cruz one bit.  If someone said that about my family, I'd never give them the time of day, let alone an endorsement.  But, I think we all know that the motive behind Cruz's actions was not family but attempting to position himself to say "I told you so" when Trump gets beaten badly in November.  Unfortunately for Cruz, even if Trump does go down in flames TC's strategy will backfire.  He has burned his 2020 bridges
