but if "The Donald" continues being "The Donald" tonight, he might lose in the minds of the majority, but he will still be a hero in the minds of his supporters.

Much like Sanders hits a chord with the lefties that feel disenfranchised who feel that Socialism beat what we have now, Trump hits a similar chord with righties who feel disenfranchised and feel like Government and illegals are the root of all that's wrong with their lives.

The good news, for the eventual nominees that is, is that the Sanders supporters will NEVER vote for the eventual GOP nominee,  no matter who it is, and the same can be said about the Trump supporters ever voting for any Dem.

The only real effect either Sanders or Trump will have is dragging Hillary further to the left and whoever wins the GOP nomination further to the right in order to win the nomination. Of course Trump holds the additional card in that he could run as a third party candidate and screw his fellow Republicans if he feels "slighted"

"Mr. Trump, can you reassure all the Republican voters out there watching tonite, that you will promise and vow you will not, under any circumstances, run as a third party candidate, which many feel will doom the Republican chances of gaining back the White House?"

He can continue to say what's on his mind, give his take on some issues and be very straight. He may come off as naive but he'll have the non political view.
This is really going to be very interesting how well he plays with others..

Trumps only hope is to increase the field of likely voters for himself. The only way he does that is by being a "real R." among other things. Many other things, lol

No "real" Republican would say they have to even think about a third party candidacy. They would instantly rule it out.

...was a simple question that any pol could have easily hit out of the park.  But Trump fumbled, bumbled and stumbled over the question because he wan't prepared.  I can't remember the question, just that I was shocked that Trump couldn't handle a simple question.  It was worse than Perry's "oops" moment but it wasn't in a debate and he wasn't running so no one noticed.

Today, he's changed his tactics.  He isn't trying to answer the questions substantively.  He's relying on his personality and image as a successful leader to bluff his way through.  But personality will only carry him so far.  Eventually the bluster will wear thin because voters will want to know what his plans are.  But we can enjoy the ride while it lasts.

but I will confess to a LOT of self interest in regards to the second plan

Chris Matthews is no easy interview for any candidate.

This is a very impressive performance by Carly and you can tell Matthews thinks so too.

Answers the question fully, takes it straight on, no dodge, and nails Hillary on her bullshit.

I love Trump's fuck everybody attitude. Fuck all of you here, fuck the rest of the candidates, fuck this party and the other party. Fuck the public here and the people in TV land. Fuck the reporters too.

I also saw the end where a person on-line asked if any of them had gotten a message from God. That was a trick question to see who was crazy enough to say that he did talk to god. But they answered well saying God talks to him thru the bible and this and that. But not all of them got to answer the question. But all that did pretended to believe in God as expected.

I was waiting for Trump to answer the God question. Maybe say something like. I don't believe in fairy tales. I don't believe in a invisible sky daddy. But believing in freedom of religion and you can even be a Muslim if you choose too.

He is my guy. he is my Obama this time around.

1. Hillary Clinton
2. Bernie Sanders

Every time HuckaBS, Jeb the Bush, Cuban Rubio and dropout Walker spoke, I contributed $10 to Hillary Clinton campaign.   The line of the night:

“God has blessed us,” Rubio said. “He’s blessed the Republican Party with some very good candidates. The Democrats can’t even find one.”

He said standing only less than 10 feet from Donald Trump.
