I wonder if this “law” which is designed I’m guessing to protect actual tenants that have signed a lease and paid rent from being barred from their place of residence? BUT it is being taken advantage of by squatters.

Hey icky if this law extends to the whole state wouldn’t it be terrible if your getting read to close on your “million dollar” sale, and you found squatters in it? Or would you even care, allow the sale go through and let the new owner deal with it?  

I’m betting the second one.
