This is one of the weirdest stories I've ever read. Talk about bullshit cross curriculum nonsesense ! WTF does slavery have to do with math ?
What next ? Using examples of how many heads of lettuce a Mexican migrant worker picks in a day ?  How many abacuses a rich 13th century Chinese family averages a month ? How many Oreo cookies a Jewish grocery owner sells , compared to his Christian or Muslim counterparts ?------;)

No WONDER the public education system in this country is a joke.

Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

This is not only what is wrong with education, but much of society.  People are afraid to say things to co-workers for being racists, sexist, what ever. I know an employer who is afraid to ask questions.

30 years ago there were a handful of rare verbal crimes and causes of action.  Each reflected real injury, not just psychological.  Just one example, libel hurt a person's business and hit his pocket.  (This is simplistic, and it is not indended to be a tome on libel law.)

That said, speech codes on campus and the workplace are promolgated almost totally from one
side of the aisle.  It is all the same thing.

Yes, it is a moronic example of politically correct, but that originated and is strongest on the left.

Make a list of every verbal statement that can be the basis of a cause of action.  Where does it come from.

True, some conservatives are sensitive, but they don't want a law.  For example, the Piss Christ photo was very offensive, but the conservatives didn't want to ban it. They just wanted to have it paid for by the state.  THere are a million private galaries that would be glad to display it.  The rationale is "No need to ban it. Just don't make me pay for it."

I am an insensitive asshole by almost every definition of the word, and even I find the test highly and hugely offensive.

What's next? "If Cletus is shackeled 25% of the day for being uppity, how many hours a day is Cletus spending in chains?, and should Cletus just learn to keep his big black mouth shut?"

Give me a fucking break, these teachers should be replaced immediately and so should the apolgist spokesman for the district.

Say you can hire 2 beaners for $100 a day. And each beaner can lay 5 squares of shingle per day. Excluding tacos for lunch, how much should you bid to shingle a 50 square house and make a 30% profit?
