Republicunts hit the Trifecta. Could they be bigger fuck-ups?

They started the day falling into their own trap and failing to support the immigration bill they had helped create. Even though it contained tough measures they thought the Dems would never accept. They clearly are more concerns with playing political games than actually solving the crisis and have handed the Dems a big club to whack them with.
Then Trump lost three-zip in the appeals court on his claim of absolute immunity.
The final indignity just came when they utterly FAILED to impeach Mayorkas, which was their own pet stunt to embarrass Biden.
So today they went 0 for 3.
What a bunch of feckless losers.

The first rule of Speaker Fight Club:
In the fight to get something passed, you don’t bring it to the floor unless you’re sure it will pass.

Nancy Pelosi always knew where she stood with her caucus.  She whipped ‘em, whipped ‘em good until she knew her bill would pass.

Mike Johnson, in an act of political theater, tried to impeach cabinet member Alejandro Mayorkas.  The show closed after Act 1 because loser Johnson couldn’t get all the Republicans to vote for impeachment.

It was doomed to fail anyway because 2/3 of the Senate would never convict Mayorkas.  But bumbling Johnson, with a majority in the House, couldn’t even get his own party to vote for impeachment.  What a maroon!

The most important job a speaker has is to count the votes. Dumbass.

The GOP Freedom Caucusers feel they won by torpedoing the Senate’s bipartisan immigration bill.

Nobody expected the Appeals Court in DC to rule in Trump’s favor, so that’s a push.

I’m scratching my head about the Mayorkas vote. Why move forward with the vote if you can’t win the vote.

The GOP freedom caucus doesnt care about the border. They scream they do and that its a crisis but when it comes time to do something they cave to Don The Idiot.

for securing the border to the House is just more Lib smoke and mirrors.  Biden can seal the border on his own with an executive order just like he did in unsealing the border his first day in office in 2021.  Since he failed to follow the laws regarding immigration that were already in the books, only an idiot would think he would follow any new laws passed by Congress.  It may turn out to be a lose-lose for Congress, but it's the smart play to not to do anything until Trump is Prez.

When the election comes down the home stretch, Trump will be asking the voters to give him a Republican majority in both houses so that he can make the kind of progress he did the first two years of his last term and not have the Dems block everything like Pelosi and the Dems did during his last two years. I think if the public has decided on Trump over Biden by then, this is a compelling argument.

CDL said, "it's the smart play to not to do anything until Trump is Prez." And that seems backwards to me.
.
CDL also said, "only an idiot would think he [Biden] would follow any new laws." OK. Put your legislation where your mouth is and it will be a win-win multiplier for you and Trump. (a) Pass the law to provide stronger border protection NOW and not be accused of blocking the bill so Trump can run on the issue : win #1 (b) Watch as Biden fulfills your prophetic "only an idiot would think he would follow any new laws" and then use THAT to multiply the border issue, exactly as you predict it will happen : win #2.
.
I dare ya. I double dare ya. ... Well, I dare the House Republicans.

"When the election comes down the home stretch, Trump will be asking the voters to give him" full criminal immunity and the power to self-pardon so he can break any law he wants to break, regardless of what Congress and the Judiciary have to say about it. "Laws? I don't need no stinkin' laws! Shoot to kill!!"
