To quote W

Bush expressed regret over what he called "months of unfair treatment" of Gonzales, saying, "It's sad that we live in a time when a talented and honorable person like Alberto Gonzales is impeded from doing important work because his good name was dragged through the mud for political reasons."

from a scant 2 years ago:  "...you're doing a great job, Brownie."

Dubya seems to grade quite liberally and on a very permissive curve.  Where was he when I needed him back in high school?

And that just re-enforces how detached from reality Bush is.  Gonzales testifies before Congress and perjurs himself repeatedly and W calls it "unfair treatment" and then says that a guy whop as White House Counsel issued torture directives in violation of the Geneva Conventions and tried to get former AG  John Ashcroft (while he was in the hospital) to sign off on authorizing illegal wiretaps in violation of FISA.

Yeah, too bad Gonzales didn't stay around. The impeachment trial would have been fun to watch.

do you really vote for a fella because his AG has your same last name?   Shit, this forum is half the people in the USA who knows who the AG is.

More likely just another crony.
