I would not sell Obama short on brains. It doesn't stop him from being very, very wrong on some issues, but I don't think he is any where near a stupid man.

Carter OTOH is the only POTUS in modern times that appeared completely out of his depth.

We both stock-pile weapons we have signed treaties against, and we always have research and development going for such technology. Having a treaty is just a way to give permission to smaller countries, with insufficient resource to bow out of the arms, while saving face. Meanwhile, the big guys continue the race, but behind closed doors.

This has been a concern for a while. Two or three years ago China blasted one of their falling satellite in space by using laser.

Imagine this, if can, What would happen if someone blasts our GPS system that is used to guide aircrafts and missiles. We will be at a disadvantage.

He is not as stupid as think. Actually pretty smart to get in front space weaponization. It would be great, if you check the facts before calling someone stupid but it is always shoot-aim-draw sequence these days, especially; if you are partisan intend finding fault with everything someone does.
