Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham or as Obama calls her, 'Toot' finally passed today in Hawaii at age 86.

I am so sad that she does not get to see how this election turns out, after all she did to help make her grandson the man he is today. :(

Let's just hope that she is at peace now and no longer suffering.

Wonder if they will keep her on ice like James Brown ? Obama cannot throw her under the bus again.
I thought she fell and broke her hip and now they are saying cancer ?

You are such a cheerful person.  I'm glad you are a McCain supporter.

You are a disgraceful excuse for a human being.

Obama's campaign always refused to comment on reports that Madelyn had cancer.  His campaign was not the source that initially leaked that information.  Given Madelyn's protectiveness of her privacy, I imagine the campaign kept it hush hush out of respect for her.

I wish you had been here to protest the slanders on the day Tony Snow died..
I never take it personal as there are kooks on all sides.
I hope things change
But the song remains the same..

Plenty of no class, disgusting assholes who lack respect on both sides of the aisle.

The left loves to pretend that only the right is callous and vindictive.

"The left loves to pretend that only the right is callous and vindictive."

It is quite evident that the Left is phenomenally well versed at pretending..

Tony Snow was a Republican operative. Madelyn Dunham was a non-combatant, an innocent 85 year old woman. Even the Mafia knows that family is off limits.

I don't know if I had started posting on this board regularly at the time of his death.

Either way, death always deserves respect and reverence.  People have families and lives. :(

Maybe you can be just like Rush - you only need to be addicted to painkillers & food...

I have a favorite provider I have nicknamed 'Tute.  Same pronounciation, different spelling.  MAybe this Obama cat ain't so bad.  We have some common ground in naming conventions.

I have had family and friends who died from cancer, and have great empathy for him at this time.  I hope he can find comfort and solace in her memory.

...and respect for the loss and pain Obama is going through right now.

I was raised by my grandparents and my mom (almost like Obama).  My grandmother died of cancer, too, and I took months off of school to care for her as she slowly withered away.  So I know all too well how Obama is feeling right now. :(

Hey it is sad she died and I was not literally questioning where she did not have cancer  or not  but I lost all respect for Obama when he threw his white grandmother under the bus to protect  his ass during that speech .
So I am sure he cares about her but he has a damn weird way of showing it because he used her in order to get political gain.

I just know  Obama  crossed the line with that action and showed me his true colors.
I hope he told her he was sorry before she died but I doubt it because Obama probably did not grasp he did anything wrong by using her in that despicable manner.
Too bad Obama did not know his family was off limits.

More people on the right really have sympathy, but this is an emotional time.  Everyone is hyped up and many things need to be taken with a grain of salt.

If someone says something offensive, it may be like a kid screaming, "I hate you mommy."

When calmer heads prevail people often regret things they didn't mean but they said in a moment of emotion.

People are at times better than they seem.
