Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) is an idiot. How dare he say that maybe his parents lives could have been saved if the Planned Parenthood funds were directed to cancer research. That is such bullshit.  

Planned Parenthood is at best a mismanaged non-profit organization. They don't, and I repeat don't get a big $500M check from the Fed government once a year. Like any provider (doctor, lab, hospital), they submit a claim, and get reimbursed according to Medicaid and Title X. They get other revenue via services provided to those who can pay, as well as donations.  

Do you want to get rid of Planned Parenthood? How about this? Opt for expansion of Obamacare or a single payer health care system. If everyone is insured, then poor women who use PP services. which is reimbursed by the federal government, would have access to multiple providers including an OB/GYN. These women will have other options for women's health care. This is not what I'm proposing, but PP has seen a reduction in walk-in traffic due to Obamacare.  

Personally, we need to move contraceptives to "OVER THE COUNTER". Then for the most part we won't have to worry about the Sandra Flukes, or the Georgetown Universities of the world. Put the pill, including the day after pill right next to the Robitussin for all I care.

Planned Parenthood needs to close facilities that are in affluent neighborhoods, or adjacent to universities. Those facilities are NOT necessary.They should re-direct those resources to women who are economically disadvantaged. But unfortunately we are dealing with an organization that is also ideologically driven.

This is a fucking stupid issue, and I hate to say that as a fiscal conservative, I gotta take the side of those pansy ass fucking Progressives (lol).

There are issues worth taking a stand over, raising the debt ceiling to a quadrillion dollars might be one of them. Defunding Planned Parenthood is definitely NOT one of them. Do I have issues with PP being used as a conduit to support Democratic candidates? yes. Do I believe that maybe this is not the best use of our tax dollars? maybe. Do I believe THIS is where the GOP should spend all of it's political capital? Hell Fucking No!!!

This is also one of the reasons I find myself rooting for, if not outright supporting Donald Trump for POTUS. He is one of the few Reps not letting himself get bogged down on "thumper" issues like Gay Marriage and Planned Parenthood, and one of the reasons I am so disgusted with most of the rest of the Republican Party.  

How about we put Planned Parenthood issue where it belongs, about number 3,456 on the list of budget Items to consider
