Anyone catch the ABC interview with OB?

So, Katie had interview with OB and she actually asked some pretty pointed questions... for the most part OB just dodged her.  One question in particular was curious when she asked him about the failure to cover the healthcare debates on CSPAN despite his campaign promises... Much to my surprise OB uttered a few words to the effect that he doesn't have control over the processes followed in Congress and it wasn't fair to point the finger at him over the absence of CSPAN.  Then he quickly blew her off.

So wtf was all that crap during his campaign when he promised CSPAN at least a couple dozen times.  To bad she didn't follow up with this question.

Honestly, after eight years of blatant arrogant in your face corruption, I expected more.

But they're not much better than the previous crowd who's supporters have made it even more impossible to get anything done in DC.

But the Wall Streeters asses are still being covered.

So the politicians have their priorities in order.

Suck the cock of their superiors in the backrooms.

Then shit on the faces of the public who elect them.

We do need change. But it will never come out of the monstrosity that Washington DC has become.

how was that a dodge? Obama is the President. The Chief of the executive branch. Congress decides what they want to do with legislation in the legislative branch. Obama can no more dictate to them what to do with legislation than Congress can dictate to the Supreme Court on how to rule on their cases.

True, the President can't order C-SPAN to cover something.  But, you know they would have loved to cover any hearings related to the health care negotiations.

But, if that was the case, then why did President Obama promise so many times to have the hearings on C-SPAN?  

The answer is obvious.  He was campaigning and he said what he knew the American people wanted to hear.  He knew that he was promising something that he wasn't going to follow through on but -- like most politician -- he didn't care. He just wanted to get elected.

...the debate did happen on CSpan. I think you're complaining that the Democratic strategy session on getting the bill on Obama's desk wasn't public. Sounds funny coming from a guy who supported Cheney keeping his negotiations with oil companies hush hush before the Iraq War.

If Obama wants the debates televised, the debates will be televised. If he doesn't have enough clout as the leader of his own party to get it done, then he is even more of an empty suit than I ever realized. The three branches of gov't do not exist in a vacuum. Particularly the legislative and administrative branch.

Obama is not just the President. He is the leader of the Democratic Party. If he can't get Pelosi and Reid on the phone and chew their ass out for refusing to allow an open debate, and get results from that, he's useless.

Then he went on to suggest, he may still shove healthcare through...

I dont remember who gave it, but did you see that one?? THEY'RE OUTTA TOUCH!!

I thought the president got to keep his blackberry, so this wouldn't happen, that was all bs too, just like the c-span stuff...

You know I wonder, A LOT.. If Nazi Germany was like this before Hitler started killing off the Jews...
Was there people like me and you, who knew what was about to happen?? I dunno, seems like it woulda been A LOT, like it is today, in America, in Nazi Germany years ago...

Obama has been GIVEN, to much control during his first year..He controls banks, the supreme court, and LOTS of people have buyers remourse, do we think its a good idea to give him control of our bodies too?? WELL OBAMA DOES, and most of the people dont...

Not to worry, with OB, their is so much BS going on that it's hard to focus on one topic with so many to choose from.

And yes, there were many German citizens who saw the plan of Nazi's.  The reaction to them was to first limit their ability to get their message out.  Then handouts to the masses.  Then messages that so and so wanted to take their benefits away... before you knew it, his plan was unleashed and history tells the story.

Not to be outdone... I cannot think of any other politician in history who has told more documented lies to the American public than Obama.  And I'm not talking hearsay, his lies are proven by his own words.

Obama uses ''words'' to mask his deceit..

By changing the meanings of the words he uses, or using VERY vaugue words to describe what he is saying..Like ''yes we can'', well Obama, yes we can, what??

I dont even understand watching his speeches, NONE OF THEM ARE TRUE..

And we still have believers...Agggghhhhhh :(
