Dr. Rice's testimony was a great disappointment to me. The families of the 9/11 victims are still

waiting for someone to take responsibility for what happened.  I think the reason they want it so much is so they can have some closure.  But all Dr. Rice and the others seem to want to do is try to shift blame onto someone else.

It's disgusting.

It doesnt take a congressional panel to see what happened here.

Our security agencies who are pitted against one another failed to communicate. I firmly believe that if information sharing was going on like its supposed to, they would have discovered the 9/11 plot. After all a flight school reporting a guy who wants to learn to fly a jet and doesn't care about landing should have made bells and whistles go off......I don't care if the groundwork was laid during Clinton's watch, this happened during Bushes presidency, he ultimately gets the distinction of being the sitting president, when America was attacked by terrorists. All the pros n cons will simply be fine print to his legacy.

What is disgusting are the people who after witnessing the mishandling of Iraq, who still insist that this was the way to go.

As a libertarian with no fondness for either of the major political parties, I can attest to the veracity of this statement when applied to approximately 98% of the comments on this board.  Such ideologues we have here -- persons who actually think that any of these political hacks are telling you anything remotely resembling the truth. Of course, the complexity of the truth is far too difficult for most people to handle -- which is why these hacks sell fear.  (Also, it is classic marketing.)

Tell me, when did statesmanship die?  Of course, it may have been dead forever.  History is filled with tales of the shenanigans of even our illustrious founding fathers.

Right now I'm contemplating the similarities between the oldest profession -- the overt focus of TER -- and the 2nd oldest profession -- the subject of this board.  Selling illusions and reaching a hand into your wallet seem to be the driving similarities -- although most of the ladies who work in this profession have much higher moral and ethical standards than any politician.  At least you get something for your money.

Hear, hear!!!!

I agree totally with this. I was truly surprised that people were outraged when Clinton denied the sex.

I was even more surprised when people expected dubya to tell us the REAL reason why we needed to go to Iraq.

And the sad thing is, dubya can plead ignorance and get away with it.
