Politics and Religion

Not to mention, what Kaepernick did was express his views.

Sports are not about the individual, they are about the team.

You and other people making this about sports is also apart of the problem.
So you need to get more information on this subject and not assume.

The Pastor was teaching a lesson in sacrifice.

You are the only one talking about the NFL, in this post.

If a golfer wants to sit during the NA, so be it. When you display contradictory opinions on the field you are not displaying a team attitude.

I understand what Collin is saying. Not the point.

The point is he was not hired to be an ACTIVIST, he was hired to be a QB.

He's not doing his job, just like the police who break the law.

He was not at his church dumbass, but at a high school football game.
When he made these dangerous comments.
So do you or this so called pastor not understand.
We have First Amendment rights in this country?
It's clear you don't read FatVern.

money he can do what he wants.  However, he needs to be smart enough to realize who the fans are.  Piss them off and those expensive seats are empty.

The fans are sending a message, whether you agree with him or not on this subject.
Also the team will donated one million dollars to Bay Area groups to address inequality.

...Oh, wait, he's white so he can't be a "thug."  He's just a righty - clinging to his gun and his religion.

Thugs are people who participate in organized crime... Even partially organized crime, is organized crime.

your post, promise.  But can not see what the problem is here.  Kaepernick is only exercising his right to free speech, a right I served a ton of years to defend.

He has not;

1)  spit on the flag

2)  stepped on the flag

3)  burned the flag

4)  worn the flag as a garment/undergarment

5)  given the finger during the national anthem

As a matter of fact, IMHO, kneeling solemnly is a pretty respectful way of showing one's dissent and conveys a very powerful, yet tasteful message.

Isn't freedom of expression one of the main things for which our soldiers have been fighting and dying for centuries?  Not all expression is popular.  I wouldn't do what he did either.  But it's his right.  It's called the First Amendment, and it protects even the rights of Nazis to march in Skokie.
If the First Amendment only protected comfortable, popular expression it wouldn't be worth much.  And there's a reason this was put in the First Amendment.  Even before the Second Amendment.

And they can't even SEE it! That's why the only hope would be a bit of neurobiological evolution, but unfortunately the planet will heat up beyond what is adequate conditions for life long before they'd produce enough generations to change them.

All Ray Rice did was pop his belligerent wife, and the league treated him like a Nazi.

Anyone who could compare the two things is beyond hope. But in your case, that's hardly a surprise. Back to your cave now, Jethro.
