END OF MESSAGE

What would interest me is whether or not there is a COST involved in putting the codes on the sights. If so;the hell with that bs. We have more PRESSING interests right here at home. That money could be better spent i'm sure.

This has been standard practice for years..

We only hope one day your typeless!

Just Kidding......maybe

but as much as it pains me, I agree with our normally clueless troll on this subject.

I resent being in a "holy war" in which I have to choose between equally absurd religions. In a country where "state sponsored religion" is specifically forbidden, I find it unthinkable, not to mention unconstitutional for the weapons of our men in uniform to have religious quotes of any nature insribed in them.

Saint's gonna win the Superbowl, Saint's gonna win the Superbowl...  hell has froze over and the Saint's gonna win the Superbowl

Well, setting aside the irony of inscribing quotes from a pacifist (Christ) on rifle sights.....what's the problem? Do the Bible references make the sights less functional? No? Then who gives a crap?

My tax dollars are being used to fight a "holy war" against my wishes, and in violation of the constitution.

It's bad enough that we are in a war based on religion, against everything this country is supposed to be founded on, but to inscribe Christian quotes on our weaponry should be grounds to invalidate the  contract with Trijcon.

I find the quotes terribly offensive, not to mention unconstitutional. Anyone who wants to support Chritianity is free to do so. Using my tax dollars to do so is unconscionable and should be illegal.

You must know "the code" to be able to interpret the message. If you already know the code then you already know the message. This is not proselytizing. Its a stupid business move, but thats all.

The sights work 100% according to spec. so your tax dollars werent cheated.

Please forgive me if my translation is not the one that you find true..There are many interpretations of the same message just like the Koran, is sometimes misinterpreted ..

John 8:12
I Am the Light of the World
12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.

2 Corinthians 4:6

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 5:16

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

The point is that "5MT5:16" means nothing all by itself. Either you know what it means already or you know how to look it up. Then you must take the next step to actually go get a bible, etc.  Making 5MT5:16 as a part of a model number is not preaching or proselytizing.

aren't terribly offended. I wonder how many actually understand the irony of this.

I wonder if that Conservative Bible has to do with any of this.

Apparently, the following bible passages now read:

John 8:12
Jesus spoke to them, saying, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but if you follow Allah your ass is toast.

2 Corinthians 4:6

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. And Muhammad can kiss our ass.

Matthew 5:16

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled with bullets.

some people cooked up few years ago and asking every christian not to use P&G products.

Vaguely recall something about the P&G logo.

Too many people with way too much time on their hands and conspiracy theories in their heads.
