to CNN and MSNBC, there has not been a sign case of Covid-19 that came from a protest or a riot. There have been some deaths, but NOT from Covid.
According to a large study by Northeastern, Harvard, Northwestern, and Rutgers universities that covered nearly 40,000 people, the protests this summer were NOT key drivers of the summertime spike in cases.
One big factor was, unlike most of Trump’s superspreader events, the protests were outdoors. Also protesters didn’t sit close together for long periods of time (unlike at Trump’s rallies) and many if not most protesters wore masks.
