Mr. Obama would instruct the UN Ambassador to abstain from the UN resolution. It must be for one of the shameful reasons you list. The only other thing I can think of is that settlements are illegal under the Fourth Geneva Convention and imperil the two state solution but that can’t be it.

        What I don’t get is why the Pallys keep complaining about the confiscation of their property. If they don’t like it, why don’t they move to beautiful downtown Gaza where there are plenty of empty houses available, as long as you are not fussy about cleaning up a lot of bricks, or  having a roof, or walls or running water or….

        And great point about  “part of the resolution makes it illegal for Jews to pray at the West wall in Jerusalem.” Of course, the libs might quibble that the resolution doesn’t actually say anything like that at all, and that  you are confusing the subject resolution with a UNESCO resolution that the US vetoed, as well as confusing Jewish prayer at Al Aske Mosque with what you consider the “West wall,”  but why should we get the facts correct?
