For awhile, now, I've been saying that I can't see why Trump would want to be president, given all that he'd have to give up, in doing so. Based on that belief, I wondered if he would drop out, or self-sabotage his efforts. Well, perhaps I was partially right, and partially wrong! ;)

It seems, perhaps, he does want the title of president, but does not want to do the actual job. I suspect he's hoping that he will not have to release his tax returns, nor have to divest any of his business dealings, while holding, but not exercising the presidency. Wow! Wouldn't that be grand! ;)

Most of the news outlets are running with the story. Let's see how Trump responds. Nice little torpedo Kasich fired at Trump's bow. It may not sink him, but may slow him down a bit. If nothing else, it could cause some active, and direct questioning about his desire to perform the office of president.

The MSM will expose Trump's domestic and foreign policy credibility during the upcoming Presidential debates. Trump has been throwing out statements like "I will build a wall",  "I will make America great again"; "I will send all illegals back to Mexico"; "I will carpet bomb our enemies overseas"; without fleshing out the details about how he intends to achieve these goals. This SIMPLY will not work for a great majority of "highly educated, high information voters and independents

... it won't be because of the rhetoric and (no offense intended) salty words about the GOP, RNC, WannabePotus T-Rump or even the magnificent Melania (In A Hot Second Don't Kid yourself)...

its going to be because despite the obvious corruption surrounding Hillary Clinton and the inevitable waste of millions of taxpayer dollars on yet another specious and idiotic "investigation" into something or other Clinton, it remains as it has for the last EIGHT YEARS - Hillary's Election to Lose.

That has not changed since the first time I stated it here in this forum almost two years ago.

It would take an extraordinary event to prevent the ascent of Hillary Clinton to become the first female president of the United States.

You're a fool or a wishful thinker if you believe otherwise.

The worst of it all, is regardless of who winds up in the White House, the American people have already lost.

He chooses Pence to do the mundane business of running the country, delegated heavily to his cabinet, and concentrates on the only goal a psychopath can have when in such a high office: World Domination!

They're often referred to as Monday morning QB's.

Yep, those guys who have never in their lives taken a snap with real guys on the other side intent on plastering the QB.  You're the dude who tossed a Nerf ball around and decided that you're NFL ready.

Why don't you take off the next 4 years and put your campaign together how you'll present as the next POTUS.

Good luck with all your future endeavors.

Well, 95% of the time anyway.

Of course, smart people like me have been saying all along DDDD has zero interest in actually being Prez (you were right on that).

First of all, it's hard work.  Not just Tweeting stupid shit at 3 am so you can get free air time on all the shows the next day.  Actual work.

Second, it would actually mean he has to learn about the issues and DDDD has bragged he doesn't read (except magazine articles about himself and Hitler) and gets all his info from the TV shows, National Enquirer and Alex Jones.

So, he offered Kaish the job to be the "most powerful VP ever."  More than Cheney?  Yowza.

Since John has a soul, and brain, he turned it down.

Of course, Pence has neither, and was going to lose his re-election because Indiana hates him so much, so he took it.

So, instead of voting for Trump to be Prez, you're actually voting for Supreme Thumper Sharia Pence to run the country and pick judges while DDDD does nothing but fly around the country basically being the Queen of England.....with his finger on the button.

I would acknowledge she is the favorite but it wouldn't take something "extraordinary" to beat her.

In fact, a few events that have been in the news lately, if they were to continue, could quite well do it.

A Nice happening here...another Dallas or two...a foreign policy incident...and the country could move hard right as Europe is starting to do.

Sadly, these things are no longer extraordinary as they are coming at a rapid pace. If they become "ordinary" Trump will win this thing as this election is VERY close to date.

... criss cross the globe being the dealmaker...

I have to admit I have long been a proponent we need a domestic and foreign leader much like many countries use a prime minister.

But no, I would never have conceived of the notion of Donald Trump anywhere near the equation, let alone at the heart of it.

Objectively speaking, I see a logic in the concept that does have appeal. But the cast of characters is all wrong.

... one were able to insure the elimination of the twitter bots and other automated forms of mass social media over-saturation.
Social media will be the dominant platform in this election. Trump has the lead there, but I do not believe he can get a majority of people to vote for him.

It's going to boil down to the Electoral College, and that's where Trump will lose.
And file lawsuits galore.

It's morning somewhere, but in America, its Crazy Time.

.......barring a House from Mars falling on her head, she will be declared the winner in November, IMHO. HRC, is definetly the most cautious of the two candidates and will play it safe right through Novemeber 4th.

Hopefully we'll never find out what a T-Rump Nation looks like. But it would be advantageous to have two different people tending to domestic and foreign policies separately.
