Jeb! -- That's Jeb Bush's 2016 campaign logo. He's running away...

...from his last name!!

And it's an "original thought" in the same way 'followme' has original thoughts - Jeb used the same logo when he ran for governor of Florida in 1998.  Mike Murphy, the genius who came up with 'Jeb!' in 1998 and today, also thought up 'Lamar!' as a logo for Lamar Alexander when he ran for president in 1996.

I can't wait to see what other "new" ideas this Jeb what's-his-name has for America.

and he said he will pass immigration reform and not something like executive order like what President did.

None of the dumbshit who listened asked him to call the Orangeman who is sitting on the senate passed CIR bill to bring it up for a vote ?   It will pass and become law

I have said repeatedly that the tried and true way to campaign is to "suck up to the wingnuts" during the primaries and then AFTER winning the nomination, work your way back to center to try and get the independents back in the GE.

The last two elections have been the exact opposite, with both Mitt and McCain winning the nomination and THEN running to the right with disastrous results,

Would you please try to keep up for a change. Sheesh.

and your critics are absolutely correct when they say you speak in absolutes, it makes it almost impossible to have a conversation with you, I don't even know why I bothered to try.

As for Jeb, forgetting for a moment about the substance of his speech, he has what Hillary does not, and her husband has in spades, he does have a certain amount of charisma and is a much better orator than either his brother or his father. and if we've learned anything from Obama, it's that if you are a good enough speaker, no one cares that you really have nothing new to say. I think Jeb, despite all of his "Bush baggage" is emerging as a front runner. Lucky us, we either get a second Clnton or a third Bush, You would think in a country of over 300,000,000 people we would have more than three last names in 8 different terms of holding the Oval Office. I suppose Michelle will be running in 2020.

Jeb may be the one candidate that can actually beat Hillary as he is younger than her, AND he connects with Latinos. He speaks Spanish a LOT better than she speaks Ghetto.

Of course Jeb still has the last name Bush which is a very mixed blessing, there are a LOT of people who will immediately vote for the other person rather than vote for another Bush.

As for the Baggers, their threat to stay home is an empty one, I suppose I agree with you on two things, they hate Hillary more than enough to vote for him.

is that she is so easy to dislike. Bush was trashed for getting votes from people who "would like to have a beer with him" but it's true. People like to vote for people they like, and Hillary is intensely unlikeable, a charismatic candidate like Jeb Bush (who knew) could exploit that, assuming of course that Hillary doesn't implode before getting the nomination, Something that could happen any day.

I am going to go on record right now saying that Jeb Bush is now the guy to beat in the GOP. He speaks a thousand times better than either his brother or his father, and when he reaches out to the latinos, he doesn't sound like a pandering gringo. If he can overcome the Bush name, he is the one Hillary has to be worried about.

and yeah, yeah, yeah, I know all about his talk about "shaming" single mothers, any decent politician can spin that one away and make it all about "personal responsibility, blah blah blah" No Republican is going to win the women's vote anyhow, but if he can appeal to the Hispanics, and black voters by and large stay at home, not to mention the fact that he has "home field advantage" in Florida, one of the battle ground states, This election might not be a forgone conclusion after all.

I have no idea what Palin's ratings are right now, nor do I even know where or what exactly she is doing, but if she needs  a boost in ratings, nothing makes you more "relevant" than running for POTUS.

They may need to hold the debates in a football stadium soon.

I will agree the Right completely shot themselves in the foot and squandered their victory by concentrating their efforts on stupid shit like abortion bills and anti gay marriage bullshit.

If Jeb were smart, I think he should continue his positive campaign and force Hillary to go negative, if you have ever seen Hillary go negative, it's not a pretty sight. Some people look "passionate" she looks "cunty"  people don't like to vote for "cunty" candidates,  and Hillary is not likeable on her best days.

is that they don't think she looks dumb, no matter how dumb she looks. but where you are right about  them is that she can always claim bias and that will get her as far as she really needs to go, which is keeping enough followers to make and keep her wealthy. Talk about parlaying your fifteen minutes of fame.

Even if Palin runs, she won't ever get far enough where she would be forced to "take on all comers" and "answer all questions" Just like Trump, she would simply be a sideshow. It's not about winning for many of these candidates, it's about their "brand" and keeping themselves relevant so as to keep the gravy train running. Do you think that Huckabee believes that he has even a snowballs chance of winning? Of course not, he just doesn't want to be forgotten and have his ratings plunge.

Palin can look as foolish as only she can manage and it won't hurt her a bit. Her diehard, bible thumping, cousin marrying fans wont care as long as she is on TV. Keep in mind Trump needs a much bigger audience than Palin, just a few million fans will keep her living in style for the rest of her life, so who's the dumb one?

Now Cruz is in a different position, he actually holds an office, but we can talk about him another time.
