The percentage has to be small within the 1%ers because I have worked for them in corporations and knew several in this hobby.  My take is that most people can feel empathy, but honestly speaking I have ran into a few narcissist people in corporations and life.  Interesting article, but I know better to put all 1%ers in that category of bullying and superiority.  ~Madison~

I worked for and with a group like this for a lot of years-Yep-interesting article!!!

the last corporation I worked for, the company nurse told me that 90% of the company were on anti-depressants.  I was constantly at the doctor with high blood pressure, migraines, despression, panic attacks and chronic pain from all the stress, insomnia.  I have no idea how I survived taking all those meds and going on about life like a zombie.  Thank God that is not my life today.  And I am so good to my little 3 employees, they have different needs and we have mutual respect.  I love them and care for them.

...and it wasn't a pleasant experience. It is very eye opening to deal with someone on a day to day basis who has no ability to feel any empathy at all. Stories of torturing animals are talked about as funny childhood pranks. Drug abuse and racist attitudes are common. Strange beliefs are common too (like the Holocaust never happened, or the Illuminati control everything). Psychopaths tend to be charming and manipulative. Rampant law breaking, usually petty theft is common, and when caught they play the victim very well, despite that torment and wanton destruction of someone else's property is seen as a joke. Many experience horribly impoverished and neglected childhoods, and are often the victim of child molestation. As adults, despite their rampant law breaking, they are very adept at staying out of prison, primarily because many of them are very bright. I've known one, who had he been born into different circumstances, would most likely be a medical doctor.

There is no available treatment for them aside from anti-psychotic medication, and that only puts a damper on their worse behaviors.

Oh, and the majority of the psychopaths I've had the misfortune of meeting...big fans of Fox News. :)

I think Bill O'Reilly is a psychopath.

...he's just a sleezeball and a hot head.

I think so too-I do watch his program-and wish that he would let his guests talk-he is so damn full of himself that he makes you want to pull and Elvis and take ou the TV !!  Same with Hannity !!

As someone who has often advoacted this, Willy, would you self-diagnose as psychopath?  Happy Turkey Day!
