He said to the dreamers "in another country you would be in jail".   Really ?   In another country the Cuban's parents would have been put on the same raft and sent back to where they came from.

These hypocrites are fun to watch and listen

and your focus on his ancestry.

Where were your parents or grandparents or ancestors from?

Unless you identify as a Native American from one of the many indigineous tribes still alive in this country, you need to apply the same damned label to yourself.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Marco Rubio, but you and the rest of your crew need to stop with this fucking bullshit of labeling candidates in the manner you have chosen. It serves no useful purpose.

You want to argue his qualifications based on his track record, great. Bring up his immigration stance and argue against it. Bring up his record as an acolyte and apprentice to Jeb Bush, and I'm right there with you. You can even dredge up his staunch pro-Israel stance and claim he is pandering to Adelson, and I wont disagree with you (full disclosure, I AM stridently pro-Israel, and definitely approve of Sheldon Adelson's support of Israel)

Rubio is an American. Just like you.

You're playing the exact same sleazy ass bullshit card as the fucking birthers did on Obama.
You're just framing it in a more conniving and subtle manner.
Which makes you no less the hypocrite than those you denigrate.

He is a Cuban, born to parents who came here illegally like the dreamers he was insulting.

Your first mistake Laffy, is lumping me in with the right wing. That's insulting.
Your second mistake would be lumping me in with the left wing. That would be just as insulting.

I go with what makes sense to me.
For example:

Allowing a womanthe right to decide what to do with her body makes sense to me. Does that make me a Lefty?
The Right to Bear Arms makes sense to me. Does that make me a Righty?

Why am I so STRONGLY for Israel? The short answer: It makes sense to me.
The longer answer is far more complex.

Also, why are you so STRONGLY for Israel?

You really think our Founders would support being THAT dedicated to another country?

It sure is odd Righties ripped Saddam for "ignoring the UN all the time" when they've condemned Israel a LOT.

I am pro choice when it comes to a woman's reproductive decisions.   It should be left to her, her spouse and their OB/GYN.

I am neither against guns  nor for guns but think people take responsibility by knowing they own a deadly weapon.    Along with comes respect for human life.   What we are seeing is the latter part is missing.

I am neither against or for Israel but with its geographical situation, surrounded by multiple Arab and Muslim countries, it should be Israel that should be making the concessions to promote peace in the region.

My thinking.

Well, I won't call you a Jew Hater, Laffy. I don't know you well enough to say one way or the other.

But I do call you out as ignorant when it comes to matters of Israel and the Middle East. Your comments here are specious and filled with the drivel of one sided perspective.

Guilty of war crimes left and right, according to who? Fox? CNN? MSNBC? Al Jazeera? Hamas? Hezbollah? AP stringer Abdul ibn Dhagreb reporting objectively on the situation in Gaza?

You say you aren't a hater, and yet, in EVERY post you publish, you use denigrating and offensive languange - hillbillies, kkkers, all terms of derision and ignorance designed with one thing in mind, to elevate yourself and demean those who disagree with your viewpoint. You're a short sighted isolationist with blinders on.

Find someone else to blame for the worlds ills and your bad luck, Laffy. When you can talk factual and not rely on specious canards, then we'll talk. Until then, you're just another ignorant opinion...and a closet hater.

Now, let's not further hijack this thread. Please tell us all your opinion about Marco Rubio, the American of Cuban descent who is running for the GOP nomination? To be quite candid, I think he has a genuine chance to win it...
name recognition, rising star in the GOP, and let's face it, he's not...bat...shit...crazy like others in the field. And landing the financial backing of top dollar contributors like Adelson and Braman is a real coup for him.

My bigger question is whether the GOP will focus on presenting the best candidate for POTUS, or the candidate most capable of defeating the HRC juggernaut.

STRONGLY for Israel has zero sense.

They do nothing but stab us in the back every chance they get and are guilty of war crimes left and right.

And before the hillbillies start screaming "JEW HATER!!!!", I'd say the same thing about ANY country that holds us hostage and demands we support them 1,000% NO MATTER WHAT.

Take a dart, throw it at a world map, and whatever country it lands on, if they were doing the same thing, I'd rip them just as much.

Has ZERO to do with, "You just hate Jews."

We are on the same page re: womens right to choose.
I agree with you about taking responsibility when owning a gun.

As for your perspective on Israel - we need to have a conversation, son:)
In a different thread as that's a separate topic altogether

Yeah, sure they did. lol

Both of the last two elections they trotted out what they felt was a "moderate" who had the best chance of beating the Obama "juggernaut" and both times it blew up in their faces. You would think that they would try something different this time, but who the fuck knows.

Personally I don't think it's Rubio's time yet. I think the GOP was spot on with their criticism of Obama where it came to experience. He had never run ANYTHING before getting elected to run the country, and that inexperience was painfully evident to at least some of us, and I think he was a piss poor POTUS. I don't see the GOP wanting to run their own "wunderkind" this soon after Obama.

Personally, as a betting man, I am predicting that it's going to come down between Walker and Bush. Walker being the "real" conservative, and Bush having a thousand times more charisma than either his father or brother, the Bush political machine behind him, and the added advantage of being able to play to the latinos.  I think Cruz will fade away as being too polarizing and lacking completely in the charisma department, Trump is a buffoon, as is Huckabee and most of the rest of the "clown car" as the lefties like to call it.

I do believe that Rubio has a definite future, I just don't think it's his time yet.

Finally, you serve up some good meat.

1 - You haven't been called every name in the book on here - yet. Not by a long shot.
But I grant you, this place is overflowing with robust examples of hate speech, trolling and all manner of offensive expressionism. But that's the Internet. If you can't stand the heat, move into a refrigerator, seal the door. Good luck.
In THIS place, if your mantra isn't Sticks and Stones etc. etc. you aint gonna last.

2 - Yes indeed, the Righties do have a penchant for obnoxious nicknames of politicians. So do the Lefties.
For every Hildabeest, there is a Dumya.

As for Rubio, I never said I liked him. Specifically

Jeb Bush? Wouldn't trust him with his own testicles, if he really had any.

Here's my take on it... HRC is the presumptive DEM candidate. Once again it is hers to lose.

Do not sell Donald Trump short. He has one advantage... enough $$$ to bankroll a billion dollar campaign on his own.

But this is the reason Trump will never become President. He would NEVER allow his money to be put into a Blind Trust. And as soon as people recognize that, they will stop taking him seriously.

Wait for the low hanging fruit to drop off the campaign trail, and then let's see where things go.

with the "you say you aren't a hater yet you call names all the time."

I'm called every name in the book on here.  And Righties have a contest to see who can come up with the "cutest" name for Obama, Hillary, gays, liberals......you name it.

 Rubio is a complete joke.
-snip-

He also stabbed Jeb, his mentor, in the back for political gain.  You trust that guy?
-snip-

And many in his own Party are saying, "We'll look pretty stupid nominating him after whining for 7 years that only complete idiots elect a first-term Senator."

I think the nomination comes down to Bush or Walker.  I think either of them will pick Carly as their VP because she can rip Hillary and not be called a sexist for it.

Oh he's filed all right...
and as soon as he is informed its time to turn over control of his money to a blind trust, he will withdraw.
But that won't happen before he's had a chance to be an attack dog. For who, remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, his ego swells, ratings soar, everybody's happy except the RNC mainstream.

Here's a thought... (shudder) What if he runs as a Tea Party Third Party candidate? Holy Fucking what in the world has our country come to?

Is the clown car big enough to accomodate Trumps ego? We will see.

(Georgie Smirking Monkey - ok that's just wrong o_O)

I'm not the one crying about name-calling.  That would be the clowns on here who get called names when they throw out insults in 75% of their posts.  I have zero problem with name-calling.  Just don't be a wuss and wet your pants about "being civil" when it's thrown back at you.  Nothing I hate more than a hypocrite.

I used to call Georgie Smirking Monkey.

As far as Trump, I'm still not sure he's going to run at all because the last I read, he hasn't filed the paperwork.  So this could all be one big ego stroke and free publicity for his show......again.

The Hildabeast wins in a landslide if Trump runs as either an independent or Tea Party candidate. It won't even be close as it was when Perot ran against HW Bush and Bill Clinton.

Wouldn't it be ironic if another third party candidate got another Clinton elected at the expense of another Bush? It could very well happen.
