What if the genetics of the individual who is born, was altered before birth? Now that person would be a descendant from both groups, thus presenting the opportunity to destroy both contributing ethic groups.
However this may not be an intended circumstance.
I'd call that unintended genocide. I'll admit this is a weak argument since miscegenation is not a practice forced upon people
We are going to see something rather unique in our lifetimes (we're already seeing it), where we are going to see an increase in ethnic diversity than what we've always had. Before colonial times, Asians were just Asian, Europeans were just European, Africans were just Africans.
But today we don't just have black/white mixes (like we've had forever in the USA), but all kinds of mixes. Each mix could be viewed as it's own unique ethnicity. Thus, increasing ethnic diversity.
But as our world becomes more interconnected, the distance that produced these differences no longer matter, and eventually, race and ethnicity will become a thing of the past. In 300 years, there may be no such thing as white, black, yellow, red, or brown. Instead everyone will be a single and solitary race, the burnt sienna race.
If you want to know what future human beings will look like, just picture John Boehner, but with a blonde afro, slanty eyes, and dicks big enough to beat small woodland creatures to death.
