GDP (Gross Domestic Product) increasing is a good thing.
I would normally assume that he was referring to Percentage of GDP, but his numbers still don't make sense, like anyone is surprised by that. lol

I agree that the percentage is indeed scary....But the problem is still related to jobs in order to truly impact mid to long term debt. Nether party, and in particular the republican party, has done anything but provide lip service to job creation. I've said it before on this board, we need a jobs program. We have enough decaying infrastructure to put a a good dent in the employment figures so consumption can be spurred. Additionally, in we really through some targeted dollars into clean energy and other forward technologies we could help spurn a revival in the manufacturing based.On top of job creation, if we eliminated the 3 wars that we're currently in and do some meaningful tax reform, we could close the debt to GDP ratio.
Unfortunately, the republican party is singularly opposed to working with this president....so we will continue the down the false path that cutting spending will be the path to prosperity when any reasonable person knows revenues must be increased as well to solve the problem.
