...in the first line of the indictment as "a former teacher and coach," not as House Speaker. Also, the indictment went to great pains not to identify the gender of the person receiving the money. The person is always identified as "Individual A."
Add to that Hastert knew Individual A for many years which means Individual A could have been underage when the acts took place that caused Hastert to pay so much money.

Or maybe a series of transactions, albeit small, over a number of days. Originally banks reported these transactions due to an old anti-money laundering act passed back in the 60s or 70s. Now the Patriot Act expanded the bank reporting due to terrorism and god knows what. Been a good week.
