Putin's power shake up was about ramping the Russian economy to full war mode, pulling cash from every corner of the economy into building a massive war machine to take on NATO.
And western leaders still think it's about Ukraine.
This battle was best settled at the negotiation table. Rather than the Biden policy of fighting to the last Ukrainian, they should have agreed to keep NATO out of Ukraine and stopped the neo-Nazis in Ukraine from attacking the breakaway areas that want to remain in Russia. Also US overthrew the elected government of Ukraine setting up the capture of the Crimea. This was the Obama/Nuland policy. Horrible.
