Here's a guess: most of them don't vote. Of the ones that do, plenty of them would say they're Republicans. Only government can do that.
If people OWN their own home, no company can get them to legally leave. They can put liens upon the property. But Evil Bank XYZ cannot foreclose the mortgage on a home that doesn't have a mortgage.
Banks don't force home-buyers to purchase a home. These home-buyers walk into the process with their eyes open (or willfully closed, as the case may be) If any group is culpable for these people getting loans they couldn't afford, it is the Federal government and their insistence that EVERYONE deserves to live in a home.
