This is a sad state of school education in mainly Republican run States.    Teachers have to buy classroom supplies from their "own money"?   I wonder if in any other civilized country this happens.

NRA and Second Amendment nuts say teachers should have guns!   LMAO

cause in other countries the teachers are not over paid like they are here and cannot afford to buy the supplies.

Can’t you find something important to wet your panties over.

The public school model is faulty, there are too many diverse opinion allowed to be expressed by both teacher and stundents alike. School should teach structure not liberal free thought. Free thought is a privilege reserved for mature adults, more books are not the solution.

You will not find a single incident of a school shooting on a private for profit K-12 campus.

rivatization so, their buddies can legally rob the public.

Public school work in other countries and in this country also when the parents involved in teaching the right things instead of the stupid gun culture and repugnant politics. What is conservatism? Trying to preserve ancient social norms replaced by the society and world.

Conservatives believes in a non evolutionary world and clings on the past and blames everyone else for their misery while believing they have superior intelligence delusion

It is not the schools but where they are located and whether they are surrounded by communities that worship the gun culture.

Frankly I enjoy being called a racist because I do not know what segregation looks like.

My statement has nothing to do with conservatism. I simply pointed out the defunct liberal PS system model.

The OP claims there are problems with how the PS in America function. I am giving an overall assessment as to why the failures take place. While giving an example where these problems do not take place.

I will ALWAYS! blame the parents first and the PS system second, because the MAJORITY! of defunct parents are themselves products of the PS system. Government does not do an adequate job of producing a product.

The issue is how the public school system operates.

Look past the gun, the gun is not the reason a citizen/student decides to open fire at a school.

The public school system in NJ has no gun problem and no mass shootings.    NJ is a state without the gun culture.    Location plays major role.   Newtown, CT is a town with heavy gun culture.

You want to see a real school where for 150 years no one has seen how a gun looks like?   It is just one of thousands in that country, considered a third world by many on this board.

I know someone will bring up gang rapes, for sure.   If one is following "breaking news", we are seeing female students, women and children suddenly going missing and ending up dead, too often.

With this post you are saying NJ does not need more books in PS.

You just shot yourself in the foot.

and uninvolved parents. Immigrant children of Asians, Indians and Africans appear to do well in Public Schools  and get into top ranked universities.

Care to rationalize and explain? I have my explanation but I want to hear yours, and who you are going to blame.

Yes, parents are indeed first to blame. Raising children they made properly is parents job not the job of schools and others. Majority of the defunct parents are the products of defunct parents, not the schools or teachers.

I just wanted to point out the three stupidest posters on all of TER are all on this thread talking amongst each other.

Is this something like a semi final bout for SPOTY???

I honestly cannot think of three dumber posters than the likes of Hadji, Fungus, and FatVern, and here we have all three of them together in one thread.

The opions that students are exposed to on campus are too diverse. This statement is in context to the notion that the school should provide a sense of structure to the students lives.

My opinion is in response to the comment "public schools need more books"

Your statement below also voids the idea that students need more books.
