So what does this mean?

Now that the Dems don't have a filibuster proof majority, what does all this mean? Since they don't have the votes to block a filibuster, then what does Harry Reid expect to happen?

Does this mean that the Dems close up shop for the next year? Or does it mean that they somehow figure out a way to manage the meek and marginal majority of controlling The White House, 59% of the House, and 59% of the Senate?

Mark my words...they will choose the former.

I agree.  I don't believe in political parties or even static ideology for that matter...but speaking strictly from a strategic standpoint; the Democrats in the legislature have been weak, ineffectual, and disjointed in their execution of governance according to their supposed ideals.  Time after time they fumbled the chance to push their agenda forward, and I'm pretty sure the Mass election won't strengthen their ability to handle the ball.

While the cons are touting this as a major victory, I think it's the best thing that could have happened for liberals because it sends a wake-up call to the Dem's...

They dont have to wake up in the morning and go to work so this wake-up-call will just blow right over their head.

the majority of Americans who are on welfare are white women with children. The majority of whom live in red states.

"the majority of Americans who are on welfare are white women with children. The majority of whom live in red states."

There is no red state blue state..It is a simple media tool designed to lead the easily misled.
A 60% mix of Blue with a 40% mix of Red does not make blue..
The media will try to make their minions believe 51% blue and 49% red is blue..
Poppycock
