The Jewish high holidays version 5768 will be commencing anytime now, and this year I've decided to take a short sabbatical to feast on my Roast Hashana's and Kippered Yom's amongst the old growth redwoods of Northern California, where, in a clearing nestled in the woods, I shall press an ancient Shofar to my lips and blow in the traditional manner.
