Why is there a "worldwide consensus" on climate change? Take money and wealth out of the US and redistribute it to the other countries. How much of that money is going to end up in Swiss bank accounts? American liberals and Democrats use climate change as an excuse to grow the government by raising taxes,and creating new laws and regulations. Polls have shown the climate is way down the list of priorities people are worried about.
