You could certainly make a case for us to be in Darfur, Somalia and a couple of dozen other places in the world right now, but the facts are we just don't have the resources, and American interests really do have to come first.
I see us/Obama getting suckered once again, just like he did in Libya, and I really don't see American interests being furthered by us doing so. Most likely we will once again be arming the very people that hate us, and does anyone want to bet that the weapons we give them will someday be used against American soldiers?
and yes it was overly broad. I can not clarify further as each instance is to be looked at and considered. Places you mentioned were important to help the people there. I do understand though that if it messes with us at home, then it has to be balanced.
