It was, as Durran noted, it wasn’t just an either/or between just Fani Willis and her now ex-lover. If you had taken time to throughly research before posting, you would know the judge gave Fani two options. Durran correctly noted one of the options:
Fani Willis and her entire staff (which Durran noted)
or
Wade

durran clearly thought that was the ONLY option, otherwise he would have mentioned that Willis could shit can Wade and remain on the case. Instead, he was celebrating Willis's departure from the case, as was his fellow idiot LostSon. In your zeal to defend your fellow stupid, stupid righties you come off looking as stupid as they are.
In addition to calling for removal. the judge also called out Fani Willis’s atrocious behavior:

The problem is that, even if Trump is convicted as appears inevitable, he has a built in appeal issue apart from the merits that an actual conflict existed. And if Wade is canned - which is surely the next step - he might not be so helpful to Willis down the line. Plus there is nothing stopping the defense from continuing to obtain evidence that the relationship existed before Wade was hired, that Fani committed perjury, and that she accepted benefits. Then they can file another motion to disqualify based on newly found evidence.
I think Fani should fire Wade and then recuse herself and hire a clean special prosecutor to take over to eliminate, or try to eliminate, this issue before a jury is seated..

… You are confusing a pretrial motion to disqualify with the standard for reversal of a criminal conviction for a conflict of interest. There an actual conflict is required.
It’s clear that BigP holds a deep professional jealousy towards Marikod, so much so that BigP is reduced to spewing personal insults and random links that sometimes even disproves BigP’s own point. BigP throws around 1st Year Law student like an insult when it’s clear he couldn’t competently handle the duties of an entry level paralegal.
That is exactly what the judge said the day before I made the post, and exactly what he said in his opinion:
“This Court finds that it can – and indeed must –consider the appearance of impropriety as a basis for a state prosecutors disqualification….Unlike an actual conflict, the finding of an appearance of impropriety does not demand automatic disqualification.”
So the judge can disqualify for an appearance. The judge chose a lesser remedy here. But he could have disqualified Fani for the appearance alone. (Really bad idea for you to put BY LAW in caps-you are underlining your own blunder). So Lester was right all along - and you were wrong along.
I would suggest you consult Lester for legal advice before you make your next legal post. You could learn from him.

The thing to learn here is this. Lester and Marikod made good points, and have a good view of the implications to Fani as far as the law is concerned.

with an eye toward their own future would be crazy to take this case. Will Fani have to prosecute this case herself? Either way, it cannot stay on the same timeline, so the clock should run out on the prosecution and Trump will be President.

According to the article, this recently approved motion to appeal could add 65 days to the calendar, and that’s not even figuring an appeal to the Georgia Supreme Court.
The second key point in the article is that the move to disqualify Fani based on her racist speech at the church is gaining steam.
It’s looking more and more like her goose is cooked.
