If the presence of these weapons proved Bush correct, then it stands to reason that the Bush administration would have come out at some point and said “hey, look at these weapons, we got it right.” But they never did that. They knew the weapons were there, and they had many years to wave them around as proof positive that they didn’t get many thousands of people killed based on false information, so why didn’t they do it?

I doubt you are aware that the UN weapons inspectors' find no WMD's in Iraq. The only chemical munitions found in Iraq were those same degraded chemical weapons sold by the U.S. to Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war. There are chemical sales receipts to prove this and they were handed over to the U.N weapon inspectors.

The "real" WMD's that were not found is explained away by right wing nuts that "Saddam shipped them all to Syria."  They say "We have photographic evidence of trucks going from Iraq to Syria!" Yea right, Saddam was an unusual sort of leader, shipping his most potent weapons out of the country while facing an invasion. I guess this makes a whole lot a sense if you are a right wing nut, I suppose.

Saddam's bluster about having large WMD stockpiles was purposeful misinformation designed to keep Iran, the country he'd invaded, from knowing exactly how weak he actually was.  Looks like he fooled the Bush administration and all those members of Congress who voted to invade Iraq, including you too. -- Modified on 2/22/2015 2:17:48 PM

Everyone believed they had and were making WMD...apparently everyone was wrong

some of our soldiers got very sick from them, and he didn't want to accept that liability, which would have made him and Congress responsible for their long-term treatment. It's the old 'cover my ass' syndrome. Of course, the Pentagon and Congress played a roll in it to.

Your are not denying Obama said those things.....but because he is a Liberal Democrat its acceptable to you correct?
