superstition is merely a violation of basic logic - post hoc ergo propter hoc. Many non religious people are superstitious....

There really is no difference. Superstition is a belief that some higher power really gives a shit about pedestrian human affairs, such as "will I win this next hand of blackjack" or "will Suzie's cancer go into remission" and that certain rites, prayers, or other behavior can influence that higher power.

You tell me, where's the difference?
