Cain's out, Newt's in .... Obama in trouble

Well, I am no fan of polls, but the one announced today caught my attention because it actually made sense.  Of all the candidates, Newt clearly seems to be the smartest and his opinions are far more credible than any of the rest.  His arrogance toward those less smarter is still a problem in my view, but if he finds a way to reverse that perception, it just might be that Obama might be in big trouble when it comes to debates with someone like Newt whose grasp of the issues would make Obama without a teleprompter look like a fish out of water.

Now let's see if a certain group of folks suddenly withdraw from their Cain bashing, and now become Newt bashers... LOL

So, wishful thinking from you at the time, although I will concede that Newt is the "intellectual" among the current GOP crop. However, considering the current field, that compliment is like calling someone the "smartest Fox news anchor"---------;)

Actually, Romney is one you should be rooting for
since it looks more certain he'll face BHO. He trails "O" by just 1.2% ( damn fluctuating fucking polls ) & it looks more certain he'll be the nominee as  Cain's #'s slowly sink :

news anchors like Shep Smith, Chris Wallace, Bret Baer and Brit Hume are all very intelligent and highly respected anchors.

and Bret Baier is almost as good.  But Chris Wallace is a partisan hack.  Brit Hume is retired, so it doesn't matter.

...shows up on the O'Reilly Factor and Baier's show.

Shep comes off to me as very smug.  See the link for a photo of Ol' Shep where he's a little more humble.

During the coverage of the Florida recount situation in Tallahassee, he shoved a female reporter for another news source out of the way to get a shot.  Intrepid reporting, that!

Chris Wallace has been a major news reporter at the network level since the 1980 Republican Convention in Detroit when he was the first reporter on the floor of the convention to break the story that Ronald Reagan had selected his primary opponent George H.W. Bush as his running mate.

Yeah, Wallace may be partisan, but he is a seasoned and very intelligent reporter and far from a hack.

Every Fox anchor has a better job than you and makes more $$$.

So if you want to imply they are stupid, I guess that tells us where you land in the scale (somewhere south of Moron)

which is not hard, since it's "slim pickens" for you in your job below----------

Of course, he'll deny this & say he's "rich"---keep in mind, folks, every guy on the net says he has plenty of $, is over 6' tall & has a big dick---------;)---------LMAO !

The difference is I am not running around calling them stupid, you are the one who is claiming people who have achieved so much more than you are ignorant.

Yes, I'm in the top 5%, but what is really funny is the fact that you would think that you even rate enough in my thoughts to be worth lying to.

But from what I hear you are game-fully employed as well and business is "looking up"

LMFAO!!!!

There's no doubt Newt's smart, just as there's no doubt he comes off as a douche.  But I think you're smoking some of Willy's weed if you think he'll destroy Obama in a debate.  Make your teleprompter jokes all you want;  there's no denying Obama has mis-spoken on occasion.  Anyone constantly on camera will do so occasionally.  But it is very different from the kind of bonehead things Perry,  Bachmann, Palin, Biden and Dubya have done.  As to the debates, don't forget that Obama clearly beat McCain.  And I'll grant you Newt is much better at debating than McCain.  But Obama is formidable as well.

The GOP hasn't figured out that Newt isn't really running for President yet. He's just there to sell merchandise. If he got the nod, I'm sure he would bow out in a heart beat.

But you can keep hoping for an angry Philsbury dough boy to be our next President. Don't forget to contribute to his campaign by buying the crap he's peddling.
