Kaiser Hospital Riverside in Southern California is investigating what appears to be a racist display directed at several African-American employees who work in the hospital’s IT Department.

The staffers said they work in an area that is restricted to employees only, so when Xavier Fields arrived for work, he was shocked to find a doll with a racial slur across its chest hanging from a post near his work station.

"It’s somebody who works within. It’s a locked area. You don’t go back there," Fields said.

There was a story like this at UW Kenosha that made waves, and it turned out that the black student who filed the complaint was the source of the racial attack.
I am not implying that this is the case here, but, IMO, I would shrug it off. After our 1st black prez in our post racial America, I would LOVE to see a group of AA's laugh at this premature attempt at insult and humor and, like the man quoted at the end of the article, keep working and pay your bills. As an AA, it is not my concern whether every white person loves me in their heart of hearts. All that I ask is that you do me no legal or physical harm.

here's a great quote from Zora Neale Hurston: "Sometimes, I feel discriminated against, but it does not make me angry. It merely astonishes me. How can any deny themselves the pleasure of my company? It's beyond me."
