Last Thursday, representatives of three of the nation’s largest unions fired off a letter to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, warning that Obamacare would “shatter not only our hard-earned health benefits, but destroy the foundation of the 40 hour work week that is the backbone of the American middle class.”

The letter was penned by James P. Hoffa, general president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters; Joseph Hansen, international president of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union; and Donald “D.” Taylor, president of UNITE-HERE, a union representing hotel, airport, food service, gaming, and textile workers.

“When you and the President sought our support for the Affordable Care Act,” they begin, “you pledged that if we liked the health plans we have now, we could keep them. Sadly, that promise is under threat

because they always go into the death scare, and I had one salesman wish breast cancer on me.  Thank God I know his words have no power over me!

This insurance dilema has turned into a nightmare for me.  I have started talking to private sector agents again, that are my customers.  Because I try to do business with those that do business with me.

For myself, for some very crappy insurance with a high deductible of 10k.  It's almost $500 dollars a month because I would be considered a smoker...truthfully.  I am honest about my weed because they do swab.

So, now my choice is to put $500 a month into a savings account to self-insurance myself and pay my fine from.  Or, if I have issues by November...maybe I won't be too proud to at least check out the affordable care act.  God knows I could use a mamogram and pap smear

My simple answer is I already have it. Case closed. Next question, I may be able to save you some money, not interested. Done!

I was shopping for prices, as I have always wished to have health insurance before Obamacare.  It just happens to be an area of my life that I have little experience, and not really any relatives or friends that can help.

I am learning, just wished they didn't have to use all the fear techniques.  And I wished my dad was alive.  Or at least someone I could trust that doesn't just want my money for nothing in exchange

speak first

speak louder

speak faster

speak every time they try to speak

tell them no thank you, have a good day while walking them to the door.

All that should take about 20 second, now if it's a slow day I could see how a conversation with anyone could be a welcome one.

I love that Union mentality. They approached it with the mindset of "hey, can can screw everyone else, just don't screw us". How classy is that, but of course, what else should we expect from these unions.

I guess its bad on my part, but I just get a chuckle when a liberal gets screwed by liberal ideology.

I still don't think the ACA won't benefit the people.

...and union leaders don't want money taken from their pockets either.
