Politics and Religion

Also, the Brits hate everyone East of Dover.

This seems to come down to the same old debate about big government and a person's feelings about self determination.

Can you really blame the Brits for not wanting to be governed by a bunch of bureaucrats in Brussels?

So how many of you think this is the "end of the world" and how many think it's not really THAT big a deal and will most likely be a net sum positive for the Brits in the long run?

... but I think the long term effect of Brexit will be to further empower the immigrant community in England at the expense of the older generations, and by the time the foolish swath of pseudo-politicians who come in to steer the ship of state realize what has happened, the Queen will be deposed by some Imam preaching Sharia Law, and the Islamic goal of overwhelming Great Britain will become a fact.

Up to you to decide if I'm serious, pulling your leg, or simply expressing the Fear and Loathing that comes with the notion of Islamic Fundamentalism continuing the metastasis or terror and regression that is its hallmark.

Not all Muslims are Islamic terrorists, but I sure the fuck wish more of them would speak up against the mutherfuckers wrecking the game for the rest of them. But they are just as cowed and bullied by the barbarian animals running the entire backward religion whether it be the pigfuckers Hamas in Gaza or the Persian buttplugs of Hezbollah shitting all over Lebanon, or their pederast Boko Haram baby rapist brethren in Africa.

Now keep fooling yourselves; drink the Kool-Aid and keep believing these BDS CUNTS who claim that all of the ills of the world, every terrorist act in the last 50 years, is because Israel is building settlements in disputed territory.

it gets down to one key issue. Is the EU even relevant anymore? Economically the EU was something close to 40% of the the world's GDP at its inception, now it's down to 20%. Europe has been mired in a zero growth environment for 20+ plus years. Would you want to be tied to a Greece, Portugal, Italy, France, Spain etc. Politically, do you want to relinquish (outsource) control of your borders, as well as the war on terrorism to an incompetent third party (Brussels)?

From our perspective, the lead-up to the vote had a Y2K & S&P downgrade paranoia to it. The world will come to an end if we don't do X. Well the stock market did drop, and will probably drop again tomorrow, but somehow just like the other invented disasters, the market will be back to where it was in a month.

Maybe I can suggest the reemergence of the Anglo empire (U.K. U.S. Canada, Australia and New Zealand). That should be bring out the vermin from the Las Vegas contingent. (lol)

I though perhaps Germany would be the first to bolt after the whole PIGS crisis.

Why sovereign nations, responsible countries, but with their own problems, would want their economies tied to these lead weights is beyond me. It's like having LTM living in your basement, eating your food and drinking your booze, refusing to get a job other than running his mouth all day long on TER about how stupid the people supporting him are, but never actually kicking out of your basement. After enough years you finally have to kick him the fuck out, or simply move yourself. It looks like the Brits were the first to finally have had enough.

......I do however believe the backlash against immigrant groups, Muslims immigrants in particular was the main reason the Brexit campaigners won last week. I expect even more British hostility towards Immigrants and probably the rise of right wing anti immigrant groups. This is what happens when you have huge wage gaps between the top 1% of wage earners and the middle class, immigrant groups automatically become scapegoats.

I've been priding myself for enduring the pain, and obtaining, but after overdoing it today, I just gave in. Perhaps, I'd better get my posting in before they kick in.  ;)

Charge of your own destiny. I actually thought things would collapse when Greece was having the debt crisis about 5 or 6 years back.  Also, this should have minimal impact on our economy.  Remember during the last recession the Federal Reserve entered into currency swaps with the European Central Bank so they could provide liquidity to the European banks.  If the ECB could not solve their problem without our assistance then it reflects very poorly on their financial capability.  Just sayin.

Their favorite saying used to be, "The Wogs begin at the English Channel."
Wogs being their term for anyone who's not English.
Of course, there are now so many Pakis, etc. who are British, it's fair for them now to say, "Wogs-R-Us.
Irony such sometimes.  Remember when the Euro's used to look down on us because of our terrible race relations?
Karma's a bitch, eh?

and a three percent selloff in a day is hardly a monumental event

Not to mention Trump was actually correct about the pound, although he should have phrased it differently, a weaker pound is not just good for Turnberry, but for a lot of businesses in the UK, especially exporters. Great Britain, just like us has a huge trade deficit, a weaker pound may be just what they need to reverse that.

Duuuuuuuuuh!  Considering the markets are already off more than 3 percent, I'm against it.I want a re-set.  Sounds like a lot of Brits want one, too.

A lot of Brits complaining are the same Brits who lost, like HRC supporters will do when the votes are counted.

You sound more and more like a squeaky mouse  every day.
Have you had that check up yet ?
It very well could be, with you it isn't mental but a mere mix up in your DNA.
Perhaps you are a mouse in a little mans body?

I'd be inclined to invest in England, once the divorce papers are in order their stock will rise dramatically. :-D

I did say 3% was nothing.  So what?  Its not a big deal, but I'd rather not even be off 3%.  Duh.  Do you get that? Trump is a disaster for you.  The only way Hillary could win is against Drumpf.
He's really unbelievable.  He delivers an effective speech (even though Politifacts says it was 90 precent lies) then he flies off to Scotland and embarrasses himself.  Loses all his "momentum."  But all you can say is he "was actually correct about the pound."  Well, yes. But so what?  All of Scotland then ridiculed him.
The man is an ignoramus.  Those who support him own that.
Enjoy your time with Quad.

You seriously can't tell the difference between my two posts?   LMAO!
Why would I want to have the markets off 3%?  Even if it's not such a big deal?
Doofus.
You really are this guy

but hey, it's personal as it goes back to the year 1066. But how can you not hate the French, considering they're rude, unhygienic, no sense of humor, poodle is their favorite pet, and they put Jerry Lewis on a pedestal.

Now the word "WOG" has a lot of meanings, and the origin could be in question, but I'll go with yours. It starts at just east of Dover, or in Calais. It was a derogatory word for someone from India back in the early 1990s, and for Chinese when the Brits were stationed in Hong Kong. I think today it describes anyone from Southern Europe. The Aussies and Kiwis use WOG as well.

scan your complete Jerry Lewis DVD collection, and maybe watch the Nutty Professor again with your little pomme frites. I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was so personal for you.
