I think when people talk
about perpetrators getting
shot when they are unarmed,
they are supporting the actions
of the initial perpetrator.
police should be allowed to
use deadly force. I don't think crime is a
game and that we need
to play by some rules when
dealing with criminals. If
they don't comply, do what
you have to do...
Especially if they are unarmed and it's a non-violent crime. All bets are off however if they are armed. I don't think a police officer should put their life in jeopardy just to, in an instant, try to determine the perps intent; whether s/he plans on using his/her weapon. A couple of weeks ago, in the LA area, a cop shot a hostage when he escaped from the perp. He was unarmed when he ran out of the house. If the cop had waited just a little longer, he would have saw the situation for what it was, and the man would still be alive today.
The shoplifter has to be arrested, charged, accept a plea or go for a trial, get convicted by a jury of his/her peers, do jail time. It goes on his/her record. In most states if the value is under $300 it is grand theft / larceny. Over $300 it is a felony.
Jay walking on a street is a misdemeanor, get a warning and/or small fine and let go. None of the above two deserve being shot multiple times by a law enforcement officer.-- Modified on 8/17/2014 7:48:48 PM

fight, and then flee???
I hesitate to believe Dorian Johnson's
explanation. Quote from link:
"Without revealing what led to the dispute, Belmar said the preliminary investigation showed that the Ferguson officer tried to exit his vehicle, but Brown pushed him back into the car, "where he physically assaulted the police officer" and struggled over the officer's weapon, Belmar said...... A shot was fired inside the police car, and Brown was eventually shot about 35 feet away from the vehicle, Belmar said. The officer was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a "swollen face," Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said, adding he had not personally seen the officer's injury. "
Yes , I'll admit their are
trigger happy cops, but its
more rare then usual...
fight, and then flee??? Does a cop have the right to
shoot a person running away??? Its a sticky situation. Quote from article:
“Must have hit his leg or something … hurt him … I don’t know what the hell happened. But I know he shot that child. And when he shot him, the little boy fell. And then he shot him six more times. And, you know, the police was in the car.” What also bothers me is how racist black
americans always exaggerate that the
black victum was a "child" and a "little boy"
That is the Police version. Where is the video to prove whatever Belmar said?

I believe Michael Brown attacked
the officer...
Police expect a toxicology report to be complete within the next three weeks. http://mrconservative.com/2014/08/47780-bombshell-mike-brown-was-on-something-at-time-of-death/

All bullets hit Brown in the front, none in the back.
Law enforcement in this country has gone ape-shit. Country has become a police state without declaring it to be one. Whenever any branch of law enforcement has more power than the people they are supposed to serve, it is fucked up.
Unless they are in a riot situation or in a shoot out, cops should not allowed to shoot. What’s is next? Shooting someone for traffic violations? That’s why you are paid to do and stop eating too many damn donuts.
Mr. Conservative? What paid and financed by the NRA?
The unarmed teen was shot six times for jay walking. All the cop had to do was : 1. Tell him to get off the street2. If he felt threatened, drive away from him.
3. Point his gun at him and tell a second time to get off the street
4. Last "Lie down on the ground, hands apart else I will shoot you".
5. Call for backup That is called normal police strategy. What the police did is FIRST DEGREE MURDER. No excuse for pumping 6 bullets to an unarmed man.
Why? The dead man had no gun. Are the police not trained to handle an unarmed man, call for backup? Fire warning shots?
I have been in London for many years, more diverse and police have no GUNS! 1. Demilitarize the killer police here2. Take away their guns
3. Turn them in to good old beat cops
4. Let them work with people in the community Police work is dangerous, thanks to the NRA. If someone feels threatened, don't be a policeman.
it's too bad that wasn't a legal gun owner carrying because it would have ended at the store .
Should they not become police officers if they feel threatened
if selling crack, pimping prostitutes, all are guranteed a jury by trial of peers in this country.
he cant use his weapon? On track again for your SPOTY I see.
No one ever said shop lifting made it ok to kill him. The shop lifting and roughing up the clerk just prove he was no where near the angel that the media made him out to be. And he had not been at his grandmother's. He had been smoking a blunt.
.... and so is the mass shooter in Tucson, AZ. No shots were fired at them.
