I was planning on San Fran to live short term but a rent of 3,600 is silly per month. I attempted craigslist with negative results and many scams. Any help in the area to live in Phoenix for a lady would be awesome :). I have 2 polite dogs so pet friendly needs to be okay. What area is convenient for most?

N. Central Phoenix, or N. Scottsdale for a residence.  There are a number of quality rentals, including single family residences with yards for doggies.  There's a lot of gentrification going on near Downtown, but the pet policy may limit you to places to live.
Many ladies have reasonably priced studio apartments for businesses.  Look around Tempe, S. Scottsdale.  Avoid west of I-17, or the far East Valley (Mesa, Gilbert).   You'll have good freeway access, it's pretty central for the metro area, as well as near Sky Harbor airport.

I bet there's more than one Realtor hobbyist that could assist you, as well as advertisements in New Times for rental properties.

Best of luck

Goodness, I hope you do move out to AZ. Tried to see you few times when you were in Los Angeles but never worked out. Welcome!!!

Well first off that would awesome to have you in the Phoenix area. Although I don't live in Phoenix I am fairly familiar with the area. Question do you have any fellow hobbyist friends that live in Phoenix? Otherwise there are many nice areas in the Scottsdale area north of Camelback Rd all the way north up to around Kierland Commons. West to 24th; East to say around Hayden. Many places are dog friendly with deposit. I would suggest you make a fact/finding trip maybe combined with a little play time. If you need a guide/helper I could probably be available and know the area pretty well. And I'm easy to be with. Hope things work out for you

I LOVE IT!(: very beautiful landscape and area to wake up to. Thirty minutes from everywhere except like Tempe but that's all college town anyway! Anyone important will be in northern mountains!(: feel free to email me if you have any questions!(;
