I was trying to set up a date with a well reviewed provider (my 1st time seeing her) and after I got near her location she texted for me to grab some condoms. Is that normal? I took it as a red flag and canceled the date. I have never been asked to do that before.  Am I too paranoid?

I have never been asked to pickup condoms, even on an outcall.  It could be nothing, but as someone on here has told me over and over again, always trust your gut.

I always bring my own.  If a lady has supplies, I think that's great, but I always go with the expectation that she doesn't, or carries brands that I don't care for.

A couple of times. But Ive learned thru experience to bring my own. So no need to detour to a store. Those requests never stopped me from seeing the provider. And if memory serves me correctly always had a good time.

The same thing happened to me once. Without thinking too much I bought some on my way and turned out she really ran out of it. But I found it to be too unprofessional and she was not good at her job either.

A great provider is always well prepared & does not rely on clients to supply condoms.

Even in my travel's I would never ever make such a request. I make it a point to pack those items in my "bag of goodies" prior to my departure. However, if I am ever running low I would personally go to the store and restock.
While it may be okay to other providers, I agree with Madame Patricia that it is completely unprofessional. You wouldn't expect your lawyer to ask you for a law book, or your realtor to as you for real estate forms, or your dentist to ask you for novacaine. There is and should always be an expectation between friends.
I am sorry you were not able to feel comfortable with your desired appointment. Hopefully next time it will be better.

Yours-
Kristin Lee

IMHO when meeting a lady for the first time the only thing that needs to be be communicated is the time, the place and the fee and only discuss that if the info hasn't already been discovered by looking at her website or ad.

Any communication that alludes to sex at all from either party should be seen as a deal breaker on a first meeting.

I have been asked to pickup condoms a few times in the past and I immediately canceled the sessions then and there.

That's way too much risk to go meet someone who at best is unprofessional and at worst LE running a sting

Happened to me once when first starting out. Turned out to not such a good sign so I would agree it's a red flag and unprofessional.
