Cafe du Monde for the beignets
Parasol’s Bar & Restaurant,
Visit Algiers - you'll need to take the ferry
WWII Museum and Jazz Museum are great
Of course, Jackson Square
Carousel Bar for pre-dinner or after dinner drinks (the bar slowly spins) it's in Hotel Monteleone
Oak Alley Plantation is really photogenic if you can get out of the city for a day
