Would we really call Braveheart an action movie? It had some good gore, but it was depressing as fuck.
I would for sure call it an action movie. But, it could also be classified as a drama. Action movies of the 90s were pretty wild...ie: Demolition Man. I could list a few cheesy ones with Jean Claude Van Damm too!
