Got a call today from a highly reviewed (positively) provider asking if I was available and interested in some fun. I have seen this provider twice, but not in the last 3 to 4 months so I find it hard to believe I stood out and she would remember me ...... she said she had my number saved in her phone and remembered me and was offering a discounted fee. This girl gets very high scores on TER and was without a doubt one of my ATF's ....... but it just didn't feel right so I politely declined. My question is, does this sound like a set up for the LE ..... get some of the hobbyiests in trouble to save her ass? I got on her site and she does have a blog where she menitioned someone spreading rumors about her that weren't true concerning legal issues.

First of all I guess this is kind of odd - very rare to hear of a well reviewed and presumably higher tier provider calling you unannounced and unsolicited. You hear of this sometimes with the bargain basement providers and hobbyists (some low class clown calling another low class clown because they are late with the rent,etc) but not something a well reviewed provider would be expected to do - might risk hurting those good reviews with that stuff - some hobbyists have wifes and that.
With that said I personally think to some degree this would be kinda cool to an extent if it was a ATF of mine calling wanting to set something up - as long as it wasn't a regular occurance or even twice.
I suppose my suspicions about the LE having something to do with it would be there as they are with you. Remember election season is here and I have heard that can get the wheels turning with stings. However you must always remember the stings are nearly always directed at the providers and rarely at the hobbyists. If the provider you are refering to is in Dayton then you might take extra caution - LE in that area have been documented running stings on hobbyists.
The 3 or 4 months thing could go both ways I suppose. If LE were to get ahold of her phone you would think they might try recent contacts - but that might have no bearing. Did you bring up the issue with the blog? I don't think that would be of any relevance if you have seen her before.
You might consider the offer - but agree to meet on terms that you are comfortable with, especially if her plans are for something different than before (outcall instead of incall,etc).
Being a chap that is probably more paranoid at times with stuff like this than you what I would do, assuming you are not in Cbus, but maybe Cincy/Dayton or Cleveland, I would take her up on the offer only if she agrees to meet over the border - if Cincy/Dayton either Indiana or KY and if Cleveland, one of the border states. Again that is my paranoid ass talking - that is probably not necessary. The point is if she really needs the $$$ she will agree to any reasonable request you may make to make it to where you are comfortable.
If I were to go forward I would basically compare the past meetings to this one, pre meeting that is, if something is out of the ordinary from the other meetings then you should bail. Not the typical situation in the hobby - will be interested to see what responses you get.
Oh and before I forget - I would be very curious to know who it was that made this request. You can PM me if you want but know I will only be able to read it when I become VIP again - probably not good to post her name on here, well unless it was some kind of LE thing as it might not be something she would want prospective clients to know - many would be very put off with a phone call like that as they have wifes and families and discretion is key.
If so I think I know which girl your talking about if she's more from cbus area. I tried to contact her a few weeks back to no response. Then I noticed get site was down a few days ago. I noticed other top tier providers have pulled ads on Eros also. Might be le is on the hunt and the smart ones are just sticking to tried and true hobbyists. I tried to splurge and contact a couple top tiers recently that i had never seen before and got no responses.
I am curious to hear any more follow up about this issue. Not necessarily about this one individual, but about the region in general. C-bus police did a sting about 11 days ago that netted numerous arrests for the escorts. They stated that the next sting will target the Johns. You can view the news story if you google Columbus prostitution sting. Look for a story from August 30th 2012 and a follow-up from 6 days ago. Does anyone know the law if they, as a john, are contacted by the police pretending to be an escort and there is no mention of elicit activities in the communications. Can the charges against you stick or is it entrapment? I realize that the police can try to do what they want and harass the hell out of you, but I am interested in the legal side of the position.
I don't think so the burden of proof is on them to prove that you were there for something illegal. I'm not a lawyer but I've been screwed over by the law before. Doesn't mean you won't have to fight it in court though. It's a misdemeanor right? On either side that's why I thought it unlikely actual providers would set up clients for reduced charges.
Entrapment is a very difficult and rarely successful defense. It requires proof that the charged person had no thought of engaging in illegal activity until that thought was planted in their mind by the police officer (or informant). If LE was using an arrested provider to set up a sting, in all liklihood, the call would make no mention of any sexual activity. They would wait for the hobbyist to bring it up - and then, assuming the conversation is recordrd, you' really be screwed. I haven't heard of this tactic being used - YET. But I,m always wary bc I think its just a matter of time.

Saving numbers on a phone or anywhere is simply risky, which is why most of us screen through other ways such as your handle. If I do get personal info. it is tossed, as I have no need for it. If you need a ref, you tell the lady where, when, and what hotel you saw me at and I ask you to jog my memory. It simply sounds like she needs money IMO. I mean even if there was a bust, who calls guys out of the blue asking them to meet? It's the hobby, and that is on YOUR end to decide when YOU get the urge, not the other way around. I find it beyond tacky to cold call for business.
