However, if you have been in this game for very long it is definitely more than just a 'possibility' of running into someone that has it. As stated before, 1 in 6 people have herpes and nearly 90% of those infected are not aware of their status. If you take a random sample of 10 sex partners, there is greater than an 80% chance that at least 1 will have herpes. If you double the random sample to 20, the chances at least 1 has herpes is greater than 95%. Perhaps you were referring to each individual person/encounter having herpes. Because I would say ~16% would classify it as only 'possibility'. But chances are great that at least someone will have it as the sexual partners rise.
