Backpage is ripe with scams and seeing a girl off there without reviews is almost unthinkable for me, haven't done it yet and probably never will.
Those pics are not quite as obvious (in terms of being obviously fake) as some that are regularly posted, ones that I just don't understand how guys get fooled into thinking it is legit, but again the site is chalk full of scams. And the ads not run by scammers are by providers who are just not very appealing visually in my opinion.
Take a look on this site and research the reviews posted by gents that are ripoffs or low quality, you will find that many of them found the girl through backpage, the link to the ad on the review will be to a backpage ad, one that may or may not still exist.
Some reviewed providers use the site but aside from those ads, you really have to approach it thinking with the right head.
Faced with the option of most of the ads on Backpage and nothing I would choose nothing. The selection in southwest Ohio is not any better and on the sidelines I usually sit. Not fun but getting scammed is less fun I would think.
Even if you are going to meet a girl off there that is legit, the fear that it could be a scam of some kind would just take away from any positive anticipation one might have, at least that is my thoughts on it. If you have a notion something could be a scam it just takes away from the whole experiance.
Don't let the crappy selection around here and there drive you into bad decisions, that will just make you hate the crappy selection more,lol. I can imagine the scammers probably do a pretty good business here, better than they would in an area with a decent selection of girls with good reviews and perfect 10 bods. Take pride in having discipline and wait for quality to come your way, that is how I see things anyway.
