When we tour we all have preferences on where to stay. I am curious to know what some turn on's and off's are to my fellow hobbyists and providers. If the situation was a 3.5-4 star hotel, what are some kinks that you don't prefer? I typically stay in bigger names and one that has more than 4 floors. Not only for discretion but I feel a little more safer in establishments like this!

... I like hotel appointments. Walking past the desk like I own the place and not giving a rats ass if the front desk people are wondering what I'm doing there. Have yet to be stopped or questioned but I usually visit 4 or 5 star hotels that are relatively busy so they probably don't even notice me. Depending on time of day and what day of the week it is I try to dress to blend in (suit on weekday, little more casual on weekends). One thing I try to ask for before arriving is the location of the elevators, that seems to help to keep from looking lost. Downtown hotels can be tricky at times if they only have guest parking and during this crappy winter I had to park and walk a distance. Not fun when its negative 20 outside. I did once have a valet give me a wink and head nod when I left exactly an hour later with what I'll call sex hair and a big ass grin on my face but I just gave the kid a nod back. He probably knew what was up but who cares, I had my fun.

The bigger and busier the hotel the better.  If there are open side entrances to avoid the lobby even better.  At the room, I like the door left ajar so no knocking required.

Big turn off is a significant pile of used towels in the bathroom.

Yes, I have heard that the winters in OH can be like Chicago...freaking FREEZING. Lmao about the "nod"...some workers at the hotel are more in tune to what's up.

A mound of towels or even a damp one hanging and using it? Lol. Not funny but I'm sure at one point you Can relate. I sometimes bring my own if I'm road tripping it or I will go to the gym to not only workout but also stock up on hand towels they have there and ask the maid for a few big bath towels. Still more discreet than asking for the entire set!

I like big, convention-type places that are busy.  The more activity going on in the hotel and the bigger the hotel the less chances of eyes watching me.  The smaller the place, the higher the chance that your being watched.

I avoid cheap places such as Red Roof and Super 8.  The less you pay for the room, the higher chances that others are working out of there that aren't so careful.  Police presence is higher.  Staff is trained in many of the cheaper places to look for us. Think about it this way, there are many, many providers out there that aren't safe or professional enough to get a decent place.  These girls like the cheaper places and make big mistakes to bring attention to themselves such as to share a room (high traffic in one area), get loud, party, smoke in non smoking rooms, stay there too long or get messed up on their drug of choice and do something else that can alert the hotel they need to call LE or train their staff to watch for us.

Of course these things can happen in bigger places however, as long as your not causing a disturbance and blend in with the crowd (I normally check in wearing business casual), the chances are lower.  

Regardless of where you hobby, most of the stories I hear about bad things happening in hotels normally start with either something go the hotel's attention and they took action or no screening was done or poor screening or the provider didn't verify that the gentleman that showed up was the one she screened

I could be wrong but the only LE problems I hear or read about have to do with drugs or street girls.
