Being somewhat of a newbie myself, I have realized that you have to be careful. TER has provided us not only with a forum to discuss reliability and quality, but also safety issues. I cringe when I read a review where a hobbyist met with a provider, only to find a "pimp" with a gun strong arm them for their money and leave. Honestly, this really isnt a safe hobby.
Also, make sure you do your homework, don't only choose a girl off of backpage because she is hot - if she doesn't have reviews, make sure you proceed with caution - "feel them out" on the phone. Also, if the pictures look airbrushed/professionally done and they are only charging $100-150, there is a good chance it is a scam. Also, being as picky as I am, I don't meet with a girl unless they provide face and a stomach pic (either via backpage, email, or text). Nothing worse than a "fantasy girl" having a great ass and later finding out that they are missing teeth and have a baggy C-section scared stomach.

Also, keep in mind that just because you wear a condom, doesn't mean that you are completely free from STD's - remember that herpes and genital warts can be spread by skin to skin contact, so a condom will only provide partial protection. Keep that in mind when performing DATY with a provider, skin to skin genital rubbing, and bbbj's. While a 10 minute bbbj feels great, a CBJ could save you from a life long battle with with an annoying and somewhat embarrassing disease that there is no cure for.
Good post there. I think having fun with this hobby pretty easily with common sense, some run into problems because they don't have it and that is what it is.
While there was nothing in the post about it I will mention something here that kind of relates. The one thing I think some gents forget is that this hobby is in itself a luxury. It is not food or water, it is not a necessity for someone to live. So I think it is very, not really sure how to say it, weak I guess, for some hobbyists out there to try to say the providers should knock down their rates because of the economy. I have talked to providers I have seen about this and they say they get it all the time, guys trying to negotiate. Maybe it is just me but I never once thought about doing this from the first time I jumped into this, it just seems like an auckward thing to do, to even bring it up. I mean how do you have a good time after haggling with someone.
Now I am not saying I don't have a limit on what I would spend but I would never try to get a girl to drop her rate because I don't think it would be worth it. And I am sorry, if one is in the position right now due to the economy to not be able to fit the hobby into their money flow then it is just something you have to do without until conditions change for that person. And I am not saying the economy has no bearing on rates, I have seen some ladies drop them, but I am content with them deciding that and me making my own decisions and contacting those who I think are worth it.
Just my opinion, hopefully I am not accused of not having solidarity with my fellow hobbyists.
Also one last thing, as far as the backpage/craigslist sites goes, I mean think about that for a minute, would you think it was a good idea to find a girl off a site that you can also buy used merchandise?? Lol I have to admit I take a look at the site from time to time but it is usually one extreme or the other as far as the pics go, at least around my region. Pics are totally hot that means they are probably fake, then you can tell the real ones because they are low end providers that are a step above streetwalker, maybe. Its just not a place I feel comfortable finding a quality provider and anyone with common sense should agree. Again not saying providers that are legit are not on there but they are very few and far between.
I have a hard time feeling sorry for some who fall for obviously fake ads on there. Again common sense has to apply, if you have it you will more than likely have fun and stay out of problems, fools will be fooled.
How else are you supposed to find your providers - the country club?
Whats wrong with negotiating? They obviously agree to dropping the rate from $150 to 120, why not go with it?
I use ad sites where the purpose of the site is to host ads for providers promoting their services. There are a number of those, Eros is the main one I check out. Not to say fake ads don't appear on there but it is known more for legit ads from verified ladies. Quality is usually pretty high on there compared to sites like backpage. There are plenty of sites where you can view ads for providers and not be on a site where you also can buy a used blender. You also can review the reviews on TER from your area and find providers that way.
As far as negotiating, I just see it as petty and having no place in this hobby. I have never been one to think that this hobby has anything in common with a flea market or something. It might just be me, but again I think it would be auckward as hell to even begin to try to haggle when it comes to the hobby. I don't want to start a back and forth but I have to say, if your talking girls down from 150 then, I mean what can I say. I really can't eben fathom that I would expect a good time, see a quality provider in terms of appearence and performance, for anything less than $250 per hour. I usually am at about 300 to 500 an hr. "Reading" Playboy starting at the age of 14 kind of put my ideal woman on a higher, and I will admit sometimes unreasonable, standard but what can I say, it is perfect 10 or nothing for me. And I have the common sense to know that you have to pay for quality. I am all about quality not quantity and that also probably puts me in the minority, doesn't make me better or worse than others in my mind. Living in this region, if you value quality, a perfect 10 girl with a good performance record, then you simply don't have quantity...lol
I don't even think I would consider seeing a girl for less than 250 or 200. I mean the old saying you get what you pay for applies to this hobby as it does anything else. Not saying the odd good experiance with a attractive lady can't be had some place for less, but you would be having enough crappy experiances with the rest who are at that rate to make it depressing as it was.
And don't get me started on the guys who complain about the bad experiance when they paid 150 or less for the hour. Its a joke, plain and simple.
With that said I also have a cap on what I would spend. That is based mainly on knowing, at least in my mind, that the whole experiance can only be so good and I have had some in this hobby and out that I don't think could be topped by any large measure. But for those who spend 1k 2k on a PS experiance, I don't fault them for it.
As I have said before slim; am not attracted to a woman that would sell herself for less than 200. And I think you have stated the case perfectly in my opinion. A memorable experience once a month vs a forgettable one weekly? I will go monthly.
And I agree about haggling; just cant do it. I want the provider to appreciate me, that I see her stated value w/o argument. If there is the haggling, and the effects of ''age'' intrudes on our moment, will she then ''haggle'' with me. I think you know why I dont.

I have a simple question about sites...I use P411 and Indys..I see some of the ladies there also posted on Eros..BUT, how can any one be sure about the ladies on Eros IF they don't have any reviews? In other words, like P411, does Eros do its own due diligence to check out the ladies before allowing them post? If a lady does not have any reviews, how are ladies on Eros any safer (LE wise) than ladies on BackPage?
I highly doubt that they do any research on the girls who purchase ads on the site. Their ads are not cheap by any means, and they really don't care once they get the $$$ for the ad. From what I have read, a large percentage of the girls on EROS do not have any reviews, and it is loaded with rip-offs, and bait & switches. This means they are not any safer than the girl on BP who asks for a much smaller service fee for her time.
Bottom line is, no reviews or a hobby buddy that vouched for a provider, she does not get a visit from me, regardless of how hot she is, or how reasonably priced she is. It just ain't gonna happen, there are too many quality providers out there that are easily verified by reviews. Remember, while TER is probably the largest review site, it's not the only one. I would use TER as a starting point, and then check the other sites. Due to TER rules, I cannot mention any sites by name.

I have said before that eros, and other hosting sites that want to market themselves as reliable sites, should make some effort to ensure the validity of ads run on their site. As swim said they seem not to care, but that really is a short term money grab that can hurt their rep with hobbyists.
I am not saying they should put a ton of work into it, but when ads are placed using pics from PS and such that are not legit and bait for a scam of some sort, they shouldn't post the ad.
Even though it is the ad site more than any other that I check out, I will not see a girl on their without TER reviews. There are alot of scams on there. But again common sense can help you stay out of trouble.
I find many of the scammers actually put little effort into the scam aside from the fake pics. Many of the ads I see reported by victims of scams are ads with very little description with the ad, ususally only a few lines.
While I know there are a lot of "fives" that are charging $150, there are also a lot of younger girls who are 9's and 10's that are charging $150/$200 as well. Personally, I would rather pay $150/hh than $300/hour - what if the service sucks? Paying $300/hour for a terrible service would just make me angry... Also, what makes a girl a $300-$500 per hour? Honestly half the time they are older too. Sure, some might be worth it, however a lot of these girls are older, put on a nice dress, and take some glossy pictures - somehow this means that they get to $300, only to give the same level of service to the younger girl I paid $150-200 for. Besides, with the $150-200 girl, the majority of the time I know her pictures are real and not airbrushed!
Hey feel free to spend your $250-$500 elite 30 something girls, I honestly think half the time you are paying for the nice dress, bubbly champagne, and chocolate covered strawberries lol.
You made some good points in your latest post here, but some of your comments took my comments out of context.
I am not saying that spending 300 to 500 guarantees a good time, certainly not. But with proper diligence with checking up on reviews it can give you a much better feeling going into things.
I understand and to a point agree with your point about age of providers. Many older providers have rates that are inflated. The thing is I wouldn't see many of them even if they were 150 or 200. Many women in this hobby who advertise themselves as milfs I guess figure that if they are a certain age that applies, regardless of appearence. Especially bad in this region. But there are a number of older providers who are at or near that perfect 10 threshold that are worth the 300-500 donation.
As far as the picture thing goes, I hear you. I find it amusing how many providers post many pictures on their ads and/or personally sites but make sure to cover up their stomach in all of them, finding creative ways to do so at times. I mean I understand the concept of emphasizing the positives and hiding the negatives in marketing but it doesn't fool me.
I don't think I would be the only guy here to say that finding younger providers, 18-25, is not very easy. I keep pretty close track of ad sites and I don't see them. Maybe you are looking places I don't. But the low rate girls can come with baggage even if they look good, there is probably a quirk to them here or there that would be undesirable.
Also the low rate girls usually are higher volume and I really don't like the idea of seeing someone who is constantly seeing other hobbyists to the tune of 6-8 or more a day.
The thing about backpage and the lower rate girls that really keeps me away is the fact that the fear of something unsavory happening just dampens the whole experiance. When you go into it fearing some sort of scam or rob or something, then what fun is that. I don't want to have to worry about that stuff because it takes away from the experiance, even if the girl turns out to be legit.
I guess some hobbyists are fueled by the rush of the unknown and like to take these excursions, but I like it to be as without bad surprises as it can be.
