My hope and belief is that this is the friendliest, and most helpful place on the web for newbies, both guys and gals to find help and advice on the web.

To keep it this way, we have a few basic rules:

1) If you have a question, try searching the board, or look at the links on TER's Instruction Manual.  More than likely, your question has been asked, and answered before.  However if you can't find an answer to your question, feel free to ask it, that is why we are all here.

2) This is not the place to ask for recommendation about a specific provider, or to ask for recommendations in a specific city.  ISO (In Search Of) posts don't belong on the newbie board.  So if you want help finding providers in Santa Monica, don't ask for recommendations, but ask for help using TER to find established providers in Santa Monica.

3) Sorry gals, your contribution to the newbie board is always appreciated, but provider ads are not allowed here.  If you have questions, or answers for others, you are free to post them, but you can't announce that you are a newly independent provider seeking reviews, call me!!!

As one who's ignorant about most of the ways of this hobby, this forum has proved invaluable. It's populated by wise men and women who are remarkably understanding.
I love the gentle cameraderie and the warmth that is a constant thread in these posts. I can't think of another spot on the Internet that treats its newbies with such consideration.
Take a bow, jazz32, you've earned it! Go ahead, take another one!
