...at the bottom of the page. Tell them the issue. Include a link to the thread, post, comment, whatever. Since Board Admin moderates the boards now I'm guessing there isn't a particular person or persons for any particular board. There is that random moderation thing that's in the software too.

I made the case for restoring a thread that I started today on the issue of whether sex during menstruation increases STD risk. It was deleted because it was viewed as redundant to yesterday's thread about whether folk viewed sex during menstruation as "gross".  I think that burying the STD question in a differently focused thread is counterproductive. Not sure why a hobby site has to be run like a rigid bureaucracy.  Now watch to see if THIS thread will be moved ......

That is, if this is a matter of importance to you. Personally the scent of menstruation turns my stomach, to each their own

I may or maynot agree with admin's action but can understand why they would not like such a thread.

It is because it sounds like you just want to SPECULATE on a real serious medical issue that can have real-life consequence.

Nobody here is a health care professional or expert. Or, nobody here can prove that they are. Or for that matter whether their opinions are correct.

So if you or anybody is really concern about this issue go talk to your own doctors

Why is it so pressing for you to start that thread now?
TER's first rule on their discussion board guidelines is that if an existing thread on the topic exists, then post to that thread instead of starting a new thread. Personally I think that's a good rule. This newbie board is the only exception where the same topics are allowed to be repeated constsnyly on the same page.

Anyway, why make a big deal about it. Start your thread next week. Problem solved.

There are tons of threads speculating about medical issues and STDs and such.
It is simply the fact that there is an existing recent thread. As I told the OP, if he waits a week and posts it, I'm sure it will go up.

lots of threads where people like me post links to STD information and advice.

(2) An existing thread that focuses on "Eww women have periods, it's so gross" is not a thread on potential STD risks. Plus, burying my question on STDs in even a day-old thread is a good way to....bury it.

(3) Who gives a shit if there is already a thread that kind of maybe addresses the same subject. The nature of a website like TER is that old topics are frequentlly re-visited, and there is nothing wrong with that since new people circulate in and out and are not obligated to read the frickin archives and might have fresh ideas. Yes, they can do a search if they want some specific info, but that does not address current situation.
