I think it might be a good idea to advertise on your local board.  That will probably attract TER gentlemen, and they are more likely to do a review for you.  Make sure you follow the TER rules for posting ads, like having the TER  emblem on the first page of your website and posting only one ad per week.

Best of luck.

You have to have a gentleman review you. That is how you get reviews. He has to actually see you to be able to write a review. Also, the first person to write a review is the one who sets up your profile.

I'm wondering the same thing. It seems that most of the gentlemen only see providers who have been reviewed already. Not that I blame them for not wanting to risk having a bad experience with a new provider that no one knows. So where do I begin. I don't like to see just anybody either. The men on this site are the kind I want to see. They know what they're doing and so do I. I've thought about asking if some of the members would like a sample with no strings so that some can become familiar with me. Will work for reviews kinda thing. Is that way to cheesy?

Lisa,
It is a TER policy that you not "work for reviews". if you are found to do this you can be permanently banned.
Currently this getting the first review seems to be a big topic with new providers.
I believe (good or bad) the reality is that you just have to wait for that first one.

it took almost 7 months for my first review to come in. you just have to wait it out. sooner or later you are going to see someone who writes reviews. i can tell you it is worth the wait.

also, it is against TER policy to offer companionship for reviews. you WILL be banned! so dont do it.

Good thing I asked. It sounded like a good idea when I thought of it. Thanks for the heads up. I'll go ahead and read the handbook before I do anything from now on.

What if I wrote on my local board something like this
- I have yet to have a review here but I am looking foreward to getting my first one.If anyone is thinking about trying something new I would like to break the ice with a TER man.-
Is that still wrong?? I am not trying to play dirty pool I just don't want to spend a year on CL. I have been a provider in the valley for 16 years off and on and i've havent done much indi work but I'm confident and looking foreward to going back to work after five years off. All my info is outdated and I appreciate your helping me to not screw up to much.

Where do you have your website? Ads? Why not a link to your website on TER discussion?  These intriguing items can be a magnet for clients and clients write reviews!
